The SOUL Performance Exhaust System is a complete non-valved turbo-back exhaust solution developed specifically for the 2026+ Porsche 992.2 911 Turbo S T-Hybrid, engineered to dramatically increase exhaust flow, performance, turbocharger sound, and overall engine character.
SOUL replaces the restrictive factory catalytic converters, Gasoline Particulate Filters, and valved rear exhaust architecture with a substantially freer-flowing system featuring a minimum 3.5-inch exhaust path from the turbochargers back, compared with approximately 2.75 inches on the factory system.
At the center of the exhaust is SOUL's advanced XY-pipe, developed through extensive digital flow analysis, 3D scanning, metal additive manufacturing, and nine physical design revisions. Instead of simply crossing the two exhaust banks like a conventional X-pipe, the XY-pipe incorporates a shared center chamber with carefully calculated merge and bypass passages to blend the banks and produce a smoother, more refined, higher-pitched turbocharged flat-six exhaust note.
Integrated Helmholtz anti-drone chambers target the platform's natural 2,000–2,500 RPM resonance range, allowing the system to deliver significantly more sound and flow without sacrificing highway comfort.
Two configurations are available: a high-flow catted Performance Exhaust designed around untuned factory-ECU integration, and a Competition Exhaust that eliminates the catalytic converters for maximum flow and requires ECU calibration. SOUL Performance Products

The factory 992.2 Turbo S exhaust averages approximately:
2.75 inches
SOUL increases the exhaust path to a minimum of:
3.5 inches from the turbochargers back
This substantial increase in cross-sectional area provides additional flow capacity for the high-output T-Hybrid powertrain and reduces downstream restriction.
The larger exhaust path is designed to support:
Increased exhaust-gas flow
Improved turbocharger efficiency
Reduced post-turbine restriction
Stronger engine response
Increased performance on factory software
Additional headroom for ECU calibration and future power upgrades
The electrically assisted turbocharger architecture helps the engine take advantage of these large flow cross sections without the traditional response penalty associated with oversized conventional turbocharger systems. SOUL Performance Products
SOUL applied its development experience from the 992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid platform to Porsche's significantly more powerful 992.2 Turbo S twin-turbo T-Hybrid system.
The electrically assisted turbochargers dramatically reduce the time required to develop boost pressure.
This allows Porsche to use unusually large exhaust-flow cross sections while maintaining rapid torque delivery.
Despite this potential, the factory system forces exhaust through restrictive catalytic converters and large GPF assemblies.
SOUL's Performance Exhaust reduces those downstream restrictions to better utilize the Turbo S powertrain's available exhaust-flow capability.
One of the most significant engineering features of the system is SOUL's proprietary XY-pipe.
During development, keeping the two exhaust banks completely separated created an undesirable harsh, tractor-like sound.
A conventional X-pipe smoothed the tone, but SOUL continued development.
Using detailed 3D scans, digital flow simulations, additive manufacturing, thousands of miles of road testing, and nine design revisions, SOUL developed the final XY-pipe.
Instead of merely crossing the two banks, the XY-pipe incorporates:
A shared central chamber
Carefully calculated merge sections
Dedicated bypass passages
Controlled communication between the two exhaust banks
The result is a more thoroughly blended exhaust note that SOUL describes as robust, smooth, refined, and higher-pitched. SOUL Performance Products
SOUL uses its in-house metal additive manufacturing capabilities for several of the most complex portions of the exhaust.
The following sections are 3D printed from 316L stainless steel:
XY-pipe
Exhaust inlet sections
Exhaust tip sections
Metal 3D printing allows internal flow paths and acoustic features to be created that would be extremely difficult to reproduce using conventional bent and welded tubing.
This manufacturing process is particularly important to the complex internal geometry of the XY-pipe.
Increasing exhaust diameter and removing factory sound attenuation can easily produce undesirable cabin resonance.
SOUL identified inherent drone frequencies in approximately the:
2,000–2,500 RPM range
Dedicated Helmholtz anti-drone canisters are tuned specifically around these frequencies.
The chambers target undesirable sound frequencies without forcing exhaust through a restrictive muffler.
SOUL reports that the resulting cabin character remains refined enough for comfortable highway conversation without the reverberation, harshness, buzzing, or booming typically associated with an aggressive aftermarket turbo-back exhaust. SOUL Performance Products
The Performance Exhaust is designed to provide significantly more character without sacrificing refinement.
Expect:
Significantly increased turbocharger sound
Stronger turbo spool and whistle
Greater turbocharged flat-six presence
Smooth, blended exhaust tone
Higher-pitched character than separated exhaust-bank designs
Increased exterior volume under acceleration
Tasteful burbles during deceleration
Stronger mechanical feedback
Controlled highway cruising volume
Minimal objectionable drone
SOUL describes the system as capable of remaining relatively understated during cruising while becoming dramatically more noticeable when the accelerator is pressed.
SOUL independently dyno-tested its development 992.2 Turbo S at Vollux Autowerks using the high-flow catted Performance Exhaust and 93-octane pump fuel.
With hardware changes only, SOUL reports maximum gains exceeding:
+100 lb-ft of torque around 2,500 RPM
and approximately:
+55 wheel horsepower
+45 lb-ft of torque
at approximately 6,300 RPM.
These gains were recorded without aftermarket ECU software.
SOUL notes that factory torque-management programming limits some of the potential midrange gains. Additional calibration can therefore take greater advantage of the increased exhaust-flow capacity. SOUL Performance Products
The catted configuration is the primary Performance Exhaust System.
It incorporates SOUL-designed high-flow catalytic converters featuring:
Custom-specified precious-metal catalyst coating
Triple-metal-matrix core construction
Increased exhaust-flow capacity
Full 3.5-inch minimum turbo-back architecture
Removal of the restrictive factory GPF assemblies
Factory oxygen-sensor locations
SOUL engineered the system to replicate factory GPF pressure differentials and oxygen-sensor behavior, helping minimize the potential for a check engine light on an otherwise untuned vehicle.
This should be understood as an engineered CEL-mitigation strategy rather than an unconditional no-CEL guarantee. SOUL Performance Products
For customers seeking maximum exhaust flow, SOUL also offers a Competition configuration with no catalytic converters.
The Competition system provides:
Completely catless architecture
Factory GPF removal
Minimum 3.5-inch turbo-back flow path
Maximum available exhaust flow
Maximum turbocharger sound
Greatest weight reduction
Most aggressive exhaust character
Additional performance headroom for tuned applications
An ECU tune is required to run the Competition configuration.
SOUL explicitly specifies the tune requirement for the catless version. SOUL Performance Products
The factory 992.2 Turbo S uses exhaust valves within the side muffler assemblies.
Because the SOUL Performance Exhaust is permanently non-valved, those factory valves and mufflers are removed.
SOUL includes dedicated Valve Delete Modules with the system.
These modules prevent the removal of the factory side-muffler valves from generating valve-related check engine lights.
No exhaust-valve functionality remains—the Performance Exhaust operates through its unrestricted performance path at all times.
The comparable factory exhaust components weigh approximately:
73 lbs / 33.1 kg
The SOUL Performance / Catted Exhaust weighs approximately:
47.6 lbs / 21.6 kg
Approximate catted weight savings:
25.4 lbs / 11.5 kg
The SOUL Competition / Catless Exhaust weighs approximately:
43 lbs / 19.5 kg
Approximate catless weight savings:
30 lbs / 13.6 kg
The Competition version therefore removes approximately 41% of the comparable factory exhaust-system weight.
SOUL describes the overall reduction as roughly 30 lbs depending on configuration. SOUL Performance Products
