The SOUL Valved Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman owners who want significantly more exhaust character without sacrificing highway comfort or everyday usability. Rather than simply increasing volume, SOUL developed the system around two distinct exhaust paths, providing a refined muffled path with the valves closed and a freer-flowing 2.5-inch path with the valves open.
With the valves closed, exhaust gases are routed through SOUL's packed mufflers to substantially reduce cabin presence and minimize drone. With the valves open, exhaust gases are allowed to exit through large 2.5-inch piping while the muffler remains acoustically connected to the exhaust path, helping produce a fuller and more robust tone without becoming excessively harsh.
SOUL engineered the system to work equally well with the factory downpipe or a freer-flowing aftermarket downpipe. With additional exhaust modifications, the system delivers increased snarling, crackles, and burbles while the mufflers continue to control unwanted drone throughout the RPM and load range.
For vehicles equipped with factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE), the SOUL system retains factory valve functionality using the existing vacuum controls. Vehicles without PSE use the included SOUL valve controller. The controller can also be used on PSE-equipped cars to provide direct manual control of the exhaust valves independently of Porsche's factory valve strategy.
