Porsche 718 GT4 RS / Spyder RS SOUL Street Package
Product Description
SOUL Performance Products' Street Package combines its free-flowing Over Axle Pipes with the Valved Exhaust System to transform the sound and exhaust flow of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS and 718 Spyder RS while retaining the ability to significantly reduce volume when desired.
The factory exhaust contains several restrictions downstream of the engine, including the over-axle assemblies and the undersized rear muffler originally developed around the standard GT4 platform. SOUL replaces these components with an exhaust system engineered around a full 3-inch flow path when equipped with SOUL exhaust tips.
At the rear of the vehicle, SOUL's Valved Exhaust System uses a bespoke X-pipe design to produce a smoother, higher-pitched motorsports-inspired tone with the valves open. With the valves closed, exhaust is routed through a secondary muffled flow path incorporating Helmholtz and anti-drone features to substantially reduce exterior volume and cabin resonance.
The Street Package can be configured with either Competition or Resonated Over Axle Pipes. Competition OAPs provide the greatest overall sound level and lowest restriction, while Resonated OAPs smooth the exhaust tone and further reduce lower-RPM resonance for a more refined overall system.
For owners looking for a significant increase in GT3-derived flat-six sound without sacrificing the ability to cruise comfortably, the Street Package provides both aggressive valves-open character and a considerably quieter valves-closed mode.
Fitment
Fits:
Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS – 2022+
Porsche 718 Spyder RS – 2024+
Compatible with factory or upgraded headers.
Excludes GT4 RS Clubsport models.
Package Includes
SOUL Valved Exhaust System
Choice of SOUL Competition or Resonated Over Axle Pipes
Choice of OAP heat solution
Choice of SOUL exhaust tips or reuse of factory Porsche tips
New high-grade installation hardware
Over Axle Pipe Options
Competition Over Axle Pipes
The Competition OAP configuration is designed for customers looking for the most aggressive sound and lowest restriction from the Street Package.
Non-resonated design
Removes the factory secondary catalytic elements and particulate-filter chambers
Full 3-inch exhaust flow path
Greater overall sound level with the valves open
More aggressive exhaust character
Approximately 11.65 lbs compared with approximately 25 lbs for the factory OAPs
Approximately 13.3 lbs of weight savings
Resonated Over Axle Pipes
The Resonated OAP configuration provides the same freer-flowing architecture while incorporating resonators to further control sound quality and undesirable frequencies.
Integrated resonators
Removes the factory secondary catalytic elements and particulate-filter chambers
Full 3-inch exhaust flow path
Smoother and more refined exhaust tone
Reduced lower-RPM resonance
Slightly lower overall volume than Competition OAPs
Approximately 16.75 lbs compared with approximately 25 lbs for the factory OAPs
Approximately 8.25 lbs of weight savings
Valved Exhaust Operation
Valves Open
Full 3-inch high-flow pathway
X-pipe exhaust design
Smooth, higher-pitched motorsports-inspired exhaust note
Significantly increased exterior volume
Maximum sound and exhaust flow
Valves Closed
Exhaust routed through the secondary muffled flow path
Reduced exterior sound level
Reduced interior resonance
Helmholtz characteristics target undesirable frequencies
Anti-drone design developed around the low-to-mid RPM range
Designed to provide a considerably more comfortable cruising experience
Heat Management
The GT3-derived 4.0-liter engine used in the GT4 RS and Spyder RS generates substantial exhaust heat, particularly around the tightly packaged Over Axle Pipe section.
SOUL strongly recommends its thermal-management solution to help reduce radiant heat transfer to nearby components and bodywork.
The Street Package can be ordered with either non-heat-shielded Over Axle Pipes or SOUL's optional heat solution.
Exhaust Tip Options
Slash Cut Double Wall
SOUL's traditional performance exhaust tip design with double-wall construction and a full-size outlet engineered around the 3-inch exhaust system.
Available in:
Signature Satin
Matte Black
Weissach
A motorsports-inspired stainless-steel tip design influenced by the factory Weissach-style outlets while maintaining the larger flow area of SOUL's exhaust system.
Available in:
Signature Satin
Matte Black
Reuse OEM
The factory Porsche exhaust tips can also be retained for an OEM appearance.
The factory tips use a smaller inlet diameter, requiring the SOUL exhaust to neck down at the outlet. This creates an additional restriction compared with SOUL's full-size Slash Cut Double Wall or Weissach tips.
Details
Complete Over Axle Pipe and valved rear exhaust package
Choice of Competition or Resonated Over Axle Pipes
Full 3-inch exhaust pathway when used with SOUL exhaust tips
Bespoke X-pipe architecture
Distinct valves-open and valves-closed sound characteristics
Helmholtz and anti-drone design features
Targets drone frequencies in the low-to-mid 2,000 RPM range
Competition OAP configuration provides maximum Street Package volume
Resonated OAP configuration provides a smoother, more refined tone
Optional OAP heat solution
Constructed from thick-wall 0.065-inch T304L stainless steel
Mandrel-bent tubing
Back-purged TIG-welded construction
Precision water-jet-cut brackets
Components manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 standards
Tolerances of approximately ±0.003 inch
Fixture-built to maintain dimensional accuracy during welding
New high-grade installation hardware included
Designed and built in-house in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania
Backed by SOUL Performance Products' Lifetime Warranty for street and track use
Check Engine Light Notice
When installed as a cat-back system with the factory catalytic headers retained, the Street Package does not trigger a check engine light on North American-market vehicles.
European-market vehicles require ECU tuning.
The Competition and Resonated Over Axle Pipes remove downstream secondary catalyst/filter assemblies, but they do not remove the monitored primary catalytic converters contained within the factory headers.
If the vehicle is also fitted with catless Competition Headers, a check engine light should be expected unless the vehicle is appropriately calibrated.
