The factory Porsche Sport Exhaust does a respectable job of controlling volume, but the 718 4.0L platform leaves considerable room for improvement in exhaust tone and character. The SOUL Valved Exhaust System replaces the factory rear muffler assembly with a purpose-built valved X-pipe design engineered to give the naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six a smoother, higher-pitched, and more engaging sound while retaining the ability to quiet the car when desired.
With the valves open, exhaust flow is routed through SOUL's X-pipe configuration, blending the two banks to produce a smoother and more exotic exhaust note. With the valves closed, exhaust is redirected through a dedicated muffled flow path designed to significantly reduce exterior volume and control cabin resonance.
