The SOUL Competition Headers are designed for Porsche 987.1 Boxster and Cayman owners looking to improve exhaust flow, engine response, sound, and durability while removing the restrictive factory catalytic converter assemblies. By replacing the heavy factory manifolds with a purpose-built catless header design, the system creates a freer-flowing exhaust path and allows substantially more of the naturally aspirated flat-six character to come through.
SOUL developed these headers using port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, and performance-oriented collectors designed to improve the transition from the cylinder heads into the remainder of the exhaust system. The result is reduced exhaust restriction, sharper engine response, lower weight, and a significantly more aggressive exhaust note.
The headers are fabricated from mandrel-bent 14–16 gauge T304L stainless steel tubing and are designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory header assemblies. Each set is fixture-tested and quality-checked prior to shipment to help ensure accurate fitment.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT / ECU TUNING:
The SOUL Competition Headers remove the factory catalytic converters and may trigger a check engine light as a result.
SOUL recommends an appropriate ECU calibration for vehicles using these headers to address catalyst-related fault codes. A performance calibration may also allow the engine to better take advantage of the increased exhaust flow provided by the catless configuration.
Optional O2 sensor spacers are available and may reduce the likelihood of catalyst-efficiency fault codes; however, O2 spacers should not be considered a guaranteed method of preventing a check engine light.
O2 SPACERS:
Optional O2 sensor spacers can be added to the Competition Headers at the time of purchase.
The spacers reposition the downstream oxygen sensors farther from the direct exhaust stream and may reduce the likelihood of catalyst-efficiency fault codes on some vehicles.
Results can vary depending on the vehicle and ECU calibration, and DasMotoring does not guarantee that O2 spacers will prevent a check engine light.
