The SOUL Valved Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 987.2 Boxster and Cayman owners who want a dramatic increase in naturally aspirated flat-six sound while retaining the ability to quiet the car when desired. The system provides two distinctly different exhaust personalities, combining refined highway manners with a much more aggressive exhaust note at the press of a button.
With the valves closed, exhaust gases are routed through SOUL's high-quality mufflers to produce a refined, sporty sound while minimizing unwanted cabin drone. With factory headers installed, SOUL specifically developed the system to remain comfortable at highway speeds and quiet enough for normal neighborhood and everyday driving.
Open the valves and exhaust gases are allowed to flow through large 2.5-inch piping, substantially increasing volume and allowing more of the naturally aspirated flat-six character to come through. Perforations within the exhaust path keep the mufflers acoustically connected to the system even with the valves open, helping create a fuller and more robust tone rather than simply increasing overall volume.
SOUL developed the system on its own 987.2 Cayman S and tested it extensively on both street and track applications, including the Cayman R. The exhaust is also designed to pair well with aftermarket headers, allowing owners to build a more aggressive complete exhaust system while retaining the ability to reduce volume when desired.

The SOUL Valved Exhaust includes a valve controller kit.
Vehicles without factory Porsche Sport Exhaust use the included controller to operate the exhaust valves.
Vehicles equipped with factory PSE can retain normal factory exhaust-valve operation. The included SOUL controller can also provide direct manual valve override, allowing the driver to open or close the exhaust valves independently of Porsche's factory valve strategy.
This gives the driver the flexibility to significantly reduce exhaust volume during highway cruising, neighborhood driving, or longer trips while retaining immediate access to the more aggressive valves-open exhaust mode.
