Product Description

The SOUL Support Brackets are purpose-built for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS models and the 911R running SOUL's complete Modular Competition Exhaust configuration.

When the factory center muffler and both factory side mufflers are removed simultaneously, the original muffler assemblies—and the exhaust support structure associated with them—are also eliminated. SOUL developed these dedicated brackets to restore proper support for the Center Muffler Bypass when it is used together with SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes.

The brackets mount from the vehicle's original factory side-muffler mounting locations to the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust, helping support the exhaust assembly while reducing vibration, movement, NVH, and unnecessary mechanical loading on the remaining exhaust connections.

Each bracket is laser cut, press-brake bent, and hand assembled, and the kit includes two Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 clamps for secure attachment.

WHY ARE THESE BRACKETS REQUIRED?

The factory 991 GT3 exhaust system uses its center and side muffler assemblies as part of the overall exhaust-support structure.

Installing only one type of bypass allows portions of that original architecture to remain.

However, when both the:

Factory Center Muffler

and

Factory Side Mufflers

are removed simultaneously, the original exhaust supports disappear with them.

Without an appropriate replacement support system, the remaining exhaust components would have to rely too heavily on:

• Exhaust clamps

• Pipe connections

• Flex sections

• Header connections

• Other mounting points not intended to carry the complete load

SOUL's Support Brackets restore a dedicated mechanical load path between the chassis and the Center Muffler Bypass.

DESIGNED FOR THE MODULAR COMPETITION EXHAUST:

These brackets were developed specifically for SOUL's Modular Competition Exhaust Package.

That complete system combines:

• SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust

• SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes

• SOUL Support Brackets

The resulting system removes all three factory muffler assemblies while maintaining proper exhaust support.

NOT NEEDED FOR CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS ALONE:

If the vehicle is running the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass while retaining the original Porsche side mufflers, the factory side-muffler mounting architecture remains in place.

In that configuration, this additional bracket kit is not required.

NOT NEEDED FOR SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS ALONE:

Likewise, when SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are installed while retaining the original Porsche center muffler, the factory center-muffler support architecture remains available.

The dedicated Modular Competition Support Brackets become necessary when the center and side mufflers are deleted together.

FACTORY MOUNTING LOCATIONS:

SOUL designed the brackets to mount from the original factory side-muffler mounting locations.

The brackets then extend inward to support the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass assembly.

Using existing chassis mounting points allows SOUL to add the necessary support without requiring permanent structural modification to the vehicle.

NVH REDUCTION:

Properly supporting an exhaust system is about more than simply preventing it from falling or moving excessively.

An inadequately supported exhaust can transmit additional:

• Vibration

• Resonance

• Buzzing

• Rattling

• Mechanical noise

into the chassis and cabin.

SOUL specifically developed these brackets to help reduce NVH and in-cabin presence when running the complete Modular Competition Exhaust configuration.

EXHAUST DURABILITY:

Additional support also helps reduce mechanical loading on exhaust components.

Properly distributing the exhaust's mass can reduce stress on:

• Clamp interfaces

• Exhaust tubing

• Welds

• Flex sections

• Header connections

• Adjacent exhaust components

This becomes especially important during track use, where exhaust components are exposed to repeated heat cycles, vibration, chassis movement, and high-G loading.

LASER-CUT CONSTRUCTION:

Each support bracket begins as a precision laser-cut component.

Laser cutting provides repeatable bracket geometry and accurate mounting features before forming and final assembly.

PRESS-BRAKE FORMED:

After cutting, the brackets are press-brake bent into their final shape.

This manufacturing process provides controlled bends and consistent geometry while avoiding the variability associated with manually forming each component.

HAND ASSEMBLED:

SOUL then hand assembles the bracket kit before shipment.

The finished brackets are designed specifically around the mounting geometry of the 991 GT3 exhaust system and SOUL's Center Muffler Bypass.

MIKALOR SUPRA HEAVY-DUTY W4 CLAMPS:

The kit includes:

Two Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 Clamps

These clamps incorporate:

• Projection-welded construction

• Swinging-bridge architecture

The heavy-duty clamps provide the clamping force and durability required to secure the support system to the exhaust assembly.

VALVED & NON-VALVED COMPATIBILITY:

The Support Brackets are not specific to the valve configuration.

They can be used with:

SOUL Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes

or

SOUL Non-Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes

when either system is combined with the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass.

There is therefore only one bracket SKU.

NO PERFORMANCE OR SOUND CHANGE:

The Support Brackets are structural components.

Installing them does not directly change:

• Horsepower

• Torque

• Exhaust flow

• Exhaust volume

• Exhaust tone

• Valve operation

Their purpose is to properly support the complete Modular Competition Exhaust and minimize unwanted movement and NVH.

EMISSIONS:

The Support Brackets do not modify any emissions-control components.

They do not alter:

• Catalytic converters

• Oxygen sensors

• Headers

• ECU programming

• Exhaust-valve controls

Emissions compliance depends entirely on the exhaust components installed with them.
