The SOUL Street Package is a complete catted performance exhaust solution for 2017–2019 Porsche 991.2 Carrera Base and Carrera S models without Porsche Sport Exhaust / PSE, combining SOUL's Sport Catalytic Converters with the Performance Exhaust System with Anti-Drone Tubes.

The package addresses both major restrictions downstream of the turbochargers. High-flow Sport Catalytic Converters replace the restrictive factory catalyst assemblies to increase exhaust flow, throttle response, turbocharger sound, and performance potential. Farther downstream, SOUL's Performance Exhaust dramatically increases the character of Porsche's turbocharged 3.0L flat-six while using carefully tuned Helmholtz anti-drone tubes to control the troublesome 1,800–2,200 RPM resonance common to modified non-PSE 991.2 Carreras.

The result is a more aggressive yet street-friendly exhaust system that retains catalytic converters, retains the factory turbocharger heat shields, and does not require conversion to Porsche's factory PSE system.

THE 1,800–2,200 RPM RESONANCE RANGE

SOUL identified approximately:

1,800–2,200 RPM

as a problematic cabin-resonance range on the non-PSE 991.2 Carrera when a freer-flowing aftermarket exhaust is installed.

This matters because the engine regularly operates in this range during:

• Highway cruising

• Normal street driving

• PDK operation in taller gears

• Light-throttle acceleration

An exhaust can sound excellent under full throttle while becoming tiring during normal cruising if this resonance is not addressed.

HELMHOLTZ ANTI-DRONE TUBES

SOUL tested several acoustic strategies during development, including conventional resonators, straight pipes, X-pipe arrangements, and Helmholtz resonators.

SOUL found that conventional resonators reduced overall exhaust tone and volume without sufficiently addressing the specific low-frequency resonance it wanted to control.

The final Performance Exhaust therefore uses Helmholtz anti-drone tubes.

These chambers are tuned side branches of the exhaust system rather than conventional mufflers placed directly in the main exhaust stream.

They are designed to reduce specific undesirable frequencies while preserving the aggressive exterior exhaust character.

CONSTRUCTION

The Street Package components are assembled from:
