4-INCH SINGLE-WALL DESIGN:
SOUL uses 4-inch single-wall stainless-steel outlets for its 992 GT3 exhaust systems.
The large-diameter outlet fills the GT3's central rear-exhaust opening while maintaining a motorsport-inspired appearance.
Because the tips are separate from the primary exhaust assembly, owners can change the style or finish later without purchasing another exhaust system.
SLASH CUT:
The Slash Cut design follows the angle of the tip opening to create a more aggressive and visually tapered appearance.
This is the more sculpted of the two available profiles and works particularly well for customers looking for a pronounced motorsport aesthetic.
STRAIGHT CUT:
The Straight Cut design uses a squared-off outlet profile for a simpler, more traditional race-exhaust appearance.
The exhaust performance is unchanged between Slash Cut and Straight Cut configurations; the choice is purely aesthetic.
TIP FINISHES:
Signature Satin
SOUL's signature stainless-steel finish provides a subdued metallic appearance that complements the exposed stainless construction of the exhaust.
Brushed
The brushed finish provides a more conventional raw-performance appearance with visible directional finishing.
Satin Black
The Satin Black option provides the darkest and most understated appearance and carries a higher retail price than the stainless finishes.
ADJUSTABLE TIP DEPTH:
The tip assemblies use clamp-style mounting rather than a permanently welded outlet.
This allows approximately one inch of fore/aft adjustment, giving the installer flexibility to position the tips relative to the bumper opening.
Once the desired position is achieved, the supplied heavy-duty clamps secure the tips to the mounting assembly. SOUL Performance Products
IMPORTANT OEM MUFFLER NOTE:
These tips should not be sold as a direct replacement for the factory 992.1 GT3 / GT3 RS exhaust tips.
For 992 applications, SOUL specifically states:
SOUL exhaust system required.
The factory Porsche muffler does not use the SOUL mounting architecture required for these tip assemblies.
Product Description
The SOUL Street Headers are designed for Porsche 992.1 GT3 and GT3 RS owners looking to improve exhaust flow, throttle response, power potential, and flat-six sound while retaining a catted exhaust configuration and the factory rear exhaust system.
The factory 992 GT3 header assemblies must incorporate restrictive emissions hardware very close to the engine, placing compromises on runner geometry, exhaust flow, and sound. SOUL replaces these assemblies with free-flowing headers built around large-diameter performance catalytic converters, optimized runners, and billet CNC-machined head flanges.
The upgraded architecture allows the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six to breathe more freely while retaining catalytic converters. Because the factory rear muffler and electronic exhaust valves remain in place, the Street Headers provide a meaningful increase in engine and exhaust character without requiring replacement of the complete rear exhaust.

WHY UPGRADE THE FACTORY HEADERS?
The factory 992.1 GT3 header assemblies are constrained by emissions, sound, packaging, durability, and production requirements.
Catalytic converters and particulate-filter-related hardware occupy a significant portion of the available exhaust path, limiting the freedom Porsche has to optimize runner geometry and exhaust flow strictly for performance.
SOUL's Street Headers replace those restrictive assemblies with a performance-oriented catted design intended to improve:
Exhaust-gas flow
Throttle response
Naturally aspirated engine character
Exhaust sound
High-RPM breathing
The result is a less restrictive path from the cylinder heads into the factory rear exhaust while retaining catalytic converters.
BILLET CNC HEAD FLANGES:
SOUL uses billet 304L stainless steel head flanges precision machined on a 5-axis CNC machine.
The flange design serves two important purposes.
First, it creates a more efficient transition from the cylinder-head exhaust ports into the header runners.
Second, the billet construction provides additional strength in an area subjected to repeated thermal cycling and mechanical stress during aggressive street and track use.
This helps reduce the likelihood of cracking associated with repeated high-temperature operation.
HIGH-FLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
Unlike the SOUL Competition Headers, the Street Headers retain catalytic converters.
SOUL builds the system around large-diameter, free-flowing performance catalysts designed to reduce restriction compared with the factory header assemblies while maintaining a catted configuration.
This makes the Street Headers the more road-oriented option for owners who want improved exhaust flow and sound without moving to SOUL's completely catless Competition Headers.
FACTORY REAR EXHAUST COMPATIBILITY:
The SOUL Street Headers are specifically engineered to work with the factory 992.1 GT3 / GT3 RS rear exhaust system.
The original:
Rear muffler
Electronic exhaust valves
Factory valve-control strategy
Rear exhaust outlets
remain in place.
This makes the Street Headers particularly attractive for owners who want to improve flow and sound upstream while retaining the Porsche rear exhaust hardware and valve functionality.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Replacing the restrictive factory header assemblies allows more of the GT3's naturally aspirated character to reach the rear exhaust.
Expect:
Greater flat-six presence
Increased mechanical engine sound
Stronger exhaust tone under load
More pronounced high-RPM character
Increased sound when the factory exhaust valves open
Greater differentiation between subdued and aggressive factory valve operation
The final sound character depends heavily on the rear exhaust installed.
With the factory rear muffler retained, the car remains more restrained than one using a SOUL Performance, Valved, Race, or High Pitch rear exhaust.
STREET HEADERS VS. COMPETITION HEADERS:
Street Headers
Retain performance catalytic converters
More street-oriented configuration
Improved exhaust flow
Increased flat-six sound
Retain factory rear exhaust and valves
Best suited to customers wanting increased performance while maintaining a catted configuration
Competition Headers
Completely catless
Remove factory catalytic-converter restrictions
Maximum available header flow
Greater sound increase
More competition-focused
Retain factory rear exhaust and valves
Both products are standalone header replacements designed around the stock rear exhaust architecture.
STREET HEADERS VS. COMPLETE EXHAUST PACKAGES:
The SOUL Street Headers should not be confused with the headers supplied as part of SOUL's complete Valved or Race Exhaust Packages.
Street Headers
Standalone header replacement
Retain factory rear muffler
Retain factory exhaust valves
Retain catalytic converters
Single fixed configuration
Complete Exhaust Packages
Replace both headers and rear exhaust
Use their own downstream exhaust architecture
Provide substantially greater changes in sound and overall exhaust configuration
May offer catted and catless configurations
For customers retaining the factory rear exhaust, the standalone Street Headers are the appropriate product.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT / ECU CALIBRATION:
SOUL's current 992.1 GT3 Street Header listing does not publish a blanket guarantee regarding check engine light behavior or state that an ECU calibration is required.
Because these headers replace factory emissions components with aftermarket high-flow catalytic converters, diagnostic behavior can depend on vehicle specification, software, sensor condition, and market.
No tune or check-engine-light guarantee should be assumed beyond SOUL's current published product information.
EMISSIONS NOTE:
The SOUL Street Headers retain catalytic converters but replace the original Porsche emissions components with aftermarket performance parts.
They are not CARB certified.
Retaining catalytic converters does not necessarily make the headers legal for road use in every jurisdiction.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local emissions regulations before installation or use.
Porsche 992.1 GT3 / GT3 RS SOUL Competition Headers
$4,795.00
Product Description
The SOUL Competition Headers are designed for Porsche 992.1 GT3 and GT3 RS owners looking to remove one of the most restrictive portions of the factory exhaust while retaining the factory rear exhaust system.
The factory header assemblies incorporate the catalytic converters and particulate-filter sections, forcing compromises in primary-runner length, diameter, collector design, sound, and exhaust flow. SOUL replaces these assemblies with long-tube stainless steel headers featuring optimized runners and billet CNC-machined merge collectors engineered around the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six.
The resulting design improves exhaust flow, throttle response, and engine character while allowing significantly more of the GT3's naturally aspirated sound to reach the factory rear exhaust.
These are SOUL's most performance-focused standalone headers for owners who want to retain the factory rear muffler while eliminating the restrictive factory header and emissions assemblies. SOUL Performance Products

LONG-TUBE HEADER DESIGN:
Even on a GT3, the factory exhaust manifold must satisfy emissions, packaging, noise, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
The factory header assemblies incorporate catalytic converters and particulate-filter hardware very close to the engine. This places significant restrictions on runner length, collector design, and available exhaust flow.
SOUL's Competition Headers remove those constraints and replace the factory assemblies with dedicated long-tube runners optimized around performance rather than emissions packaging.
The goal is to improve the way exhaust pulses travel from each cylinder into the collector while reducing restriction before the factory rear exhaust.
CNC-MACHINED MERGE COLLECTORS:
The merge collector is a critical component of a naturally aspirated performance header.
SOUL uses billet CNC-machined merge collectors rather than relying on a basic stamped or fabricated convergence of the individual runners.
The optimized collector architecture is designed to merge exhaust pulses more efficiently while maintaining exhaust-gas velocity.
On the GT3's high-revving naturally aspirated engine, improved collector geometry can contribute to:
Better exhaust scavenging
Improved throttle response
Stronger midrange character
Improved high-RPM breathing
A cleaner transition between the individual primary runners and downstream exhaust
The complete header is designed as a system rather than simply increasing tubing diameter.
FACTORY REAR EXHAUST COMPATIBILITY:
These Competition Headers are specifically designed to work with the factory 992.1 GT3 / GT3 RS rear exhaust.
The factory rear muffler, electronic exhaust valves, exhaust tips, and associated rear-exhaust functionality remain in place.
This makes the Competition Headers particularly attractive for owners who want:
Reduced exhaust restriction
Increased engine sound
Improved response
Factory rear muffler packaging
Continued factory exhaust-valve operation
The final exhaust volume will still be influenced by the factory rear muffler and Porsche's electronic valve-control strategy.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Removing the restrictive factory header, catalyst, and particulate-filter assemblies allows substantially more of the GT3's natural exhaust character to reach the rear muffler.
Expect:
Greater mechanical engine sound
Stronger naturally aspirated flat-six character
Increased exhaust presence throughout the rev range
More aggressive tone under load
Greater high-RPM intensity
More noticeable changes when the factory rear exhaust valves open
Significant amplification of whichever rear exhaust system is installed downstream
With the stock rear muffler retained, the resulting sound remains more controlled than SOUL's complete Race Exhaust or High Pitch Exhaust systems.
THROTTLE RESPONSE & PERFORMANCE:
SOUL developed the Competition Headers around improvements in exhaust flow and throttle response.
The factory emissions assemblies create substantial restriction immediately downstream of the engine. Removing those restrictions allows exhaust gases to leave the cylinders more efficiently and gives the 4.0-liter flat-six a less restrictive downstream path.
SOUL does not currently publish a standalone horsepower or torque figure for these headers, so no specific power gain should be assumed.
COMPETITION HEADERS VS. STREET HEADERS:
The Competition Headers eliminate the factory catalytic converters and particulate-filter assemblies entirely for maximum available exhaust flow and sound.
The Street Headers are the more street-oriented alternative and incorporate high-flow catalytic converters.
Competition Headers
Catless
No particulate-filter sections
Maximum available exhaust flow
Maximum header-induced sound increase
Lower restriction
Competition-oriented configuration
Street Headers
Retain high-flow catalytic converters
More street-oriented configuration
Reduced emissions-hardware removal compared with Competition Headers
Higher purchase price
For customers prioritizing outright flow and sound, the Competition Headers are the more aggressive option.
COMPETITION HEADERS VS. COMPLETE RACE EXHAUST:
These standalone Competition Headers should not be confused with the header architecture supplied as part of SOUL's complete Race Exhaust System.
Competition Headers
Standalone header replacement
Designed to connect to the factory rear exhaust
Retains factory rear muffler
Retains factory electronic exhaust valves
One fixed configuration
Race Exhaust System
Complete header-back exhaust
Replaces the factory rear exhaust
Uses SOUL-specific downstream connections and exhaust architecture
Available with catted or catless sections
Non-valved rear exhaust
Multiple exhaust-tip configurations
For customers keeping the factory rear exhaust, these Competition Headers are the appropriate standalone product.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
Because the Competition Headers remove the factory catalytic converters and particulate-filter assemblies, emissions-related diagnostic trouble codes and a check engine light are possible.
An appropriate ECU calibration or diagnostic solution may be required depending on vehicle specification and intended competition use.
Customers should not expect factory catalyst-monitoring functionality to operate normally after installation of a catless header system.
EMISSIONS / COMPETITION USE NOTE:
The SOUL Competition Headers remove factory catalytic converters and particulate-filter hardware.
This product is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles on public roads.
The headers are intended for closed-course competition use only where required.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations before installation or use.

F1-INSPIRED HIGH-PITCH DESIGN:
The High Pitch Exhaust is fundamentally different from a conventional muffler-delete or X-pipe exhaust.
SOUL developed the complete exhaust path around acoustic tuning rather than simply removing restriction.
After leaving the headers, exhaust flows through reverse megaphones before entering two 2.5-inch exhaust paths. The two banks then merge into a single 3-inch section of carefully calculated length.
The transition from dual exhaust paths into one centralized flow path changes the way the individual cylinder-bank pulses interact, pushing the exhaust note toward a higher and more continuous frequency.
The goal is a progressively sharper motorsport sound that becomes increasingly exotic as engine speed approaches the GT3's redline. SOUL Performance Products
REVERSE MEGAPHONES:
Rather than connecting the header outlets directly into conventional constant-diameter tubing, SOUL incorporates reverse megaphones into the exhaust architecture.
These transitions are part of the system's acoustic and flow tuning and help transition exhaust gases from the header outlets into the downstream dual 2.5-inch system.
Combined with the later single 3-inch merge, the complete geometry is designed around maintaining exhaust velocity while manipulating exhaust frequency.
DUAL 2.5-INCH TO SINGLE 3-INCH EXHAUST:
The two cylinder banks initially remain separated through 2.5-inch exhaust tubing.
Farther downstream, the banks merge into a single 3-inch exhaust path.
SOUL carefully calculated the length and placement of this merged section to influence exhaust tone while maintaining efficient exhaust flow.
This is a very different architecture from the conventional dual-bank X-pipe used on SOUL's Performance and Race Exhaust systems.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The SOUL High Pitch Exhaust is designed specifically for customers prioritizing an extreme motorsport soundtrack.
Expect:
Dramatically increased overall exhaust volume
Sharper exhaust frequency
Higher-pitched flat-six character
Significantly greater mechanical engine sound
An increasingly exotic tone as RPM rises
Aggressive naturally aspirated sound throughout the rev range
A focused motorsport character rather than a conventional deep aftermarket exhaust note
Maximum sound without factory exhaust-valve intervention
This is a competition-focused system, not a quiet or dual-purpose valved exhaust.
3D-METAL-PRINTED CENTER OUTLET:
One of the defining features of the High Pitch Exhaust is its single center exhaust outlet.
Rather than using conventional fabricated twin tips, SOUL digitally engineered the outlet and manufactures it using its own 3D metal printers.
The tip is constructed from 316L stainless steel and shaped to integrate within the GT3's factory bumper surround.
The printed construction gives SOUL greater freedom over the internal and external geometry than would be possible with conventional bent and welded tubing.
The resulting outlet provides a distinctive motorsport appearance while also being designed to limit unnecessary heat transfer into the surrounding bumper area. SOUL Performance Products
VALVE DELETE MODULES:
The factory 992 GT3 uses electronically monitored exhaust valves.
The High Pitch Exhaust eliminates the factory valved rear exhaust entirely.
SOUL therefore includes dedicated Valve Delete Modules that replicate the electrical signals expected from the original valve actuators.
This allows the factory valves and actuators to be removed while making the ECU recognize the system as operating normally, preventing a valve-related check engine light.
WEIGHT SAVINGS:
The factory exhaust components weigh approximately:
68.2 lbs / 30.9 kg
The complete SOUL High Pitch Exhaust weighs approximately:
35.9 lbs / 16.3 kg
Approximate weight reduction:
32.3 lbs / 14.6 kg
That represents a reduction of approximately 47% of the factory exhaust-system weight.
Because much of the factory exhaust mass is positioned at the rear of the vehicle, this is a particularly meaningful reduction for a performance-focused GT3 or GT3 RS.
HIGH PITCH VS. PERFORMANCE EXHAUST:
High Pitch Exhaust System
Complete header-back system
Removes factory catalyst assemblies
Eliminates particulate-filter sections
Removes factory exhaust valves
Dual 2.5-inch into single 3-inch architecture
Reverse megaphones

Dual 2.5-inch paths merge into one 3-inch exhaust path
Reverse-megaphone architecture
Single 3D-printed center outlet
Fixed catless configuration
Approximately 32.3 lbs of weight savings
Race Exhaust
Full performance header-back architecture
Uses an X-pipe rear exhaust
Available in catted or catless configurations

The High Pitch Exhaust is the more specialized choice for customers prioritizing sound frequency, minimum weight, and motorsport character.
CATALYTIC CONVERTERS / EMISSIONS EQUIPMENT:
The High Pitch Exhaust removes the factory catalytic-converter assemblies and particulate-filter sections as part of the complete system.
There is no catted version listed for this product.
Removing the factory emissions equipment may produce emissions-related diagnostic trouble codes depending on vehicle specification and ECU configuration.
European-specification vehicles require an appropriate OBD solution or ECU calibration according to SOUL.
EUROPEAN-SPEC VEHICLES:
SOUL states that the High Pitch Exhaust physically fits applicable European-specification GT3 and GT3 RS models.
Because European vehicles use different emissions monitoring and particulate-filter strategies, SOUL requires an appropriate OBD device or ECU calibration to eliminate resulting check engine lights.
EMISSIONS / COMPETITION USE NOTE:
The SOUL High Pitch Exhaust System removes factory catalytic converters and particulate-filter hardware.
This product is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles.
SOUL specifies the system as intended for closed-course competition use only where required.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations before installation or use.
Product Description
The SOUL Performance Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 992.1 GT3 and GT3 RS owners who want substantially more sound throughout the entire rev range without replacing the factory headers or catalytic-converter assemblies.
The factory GT3 exhaust uses electronically controlled valves and programming that keeps much of the 4.0-liter flat-six's character subdued until higher engine speeds. SOUL eliminates the secondary valved flow path entirely, replacing the factory rear muffler with a non-valved 3-inch X-pipe exhaust system.
Exhaust flows from the factory headers through SOUL's purpose-built smooth-radius cast transition cones, into 3-inch tubing, through a bespoke X-pipe, and out through the customer's choice of 4-inch exhaust tips.
Tailored Helmholtz resonators target the resonance encountered during development around 3,400–4,000 RPM, helping maintain reasonable cabin presence while preserving the aggressive, higher-pitched flat-six character of the GT3.

NON-VALVED PERFORMANCE DESIGN:
The factory 992 GT3 uses electronically controlled exhaust valves to manage sound throughout the rev range.
Even when Porsche Sport Exhaust is selected, the factory programming can restrict the car's exhaust character until approximately 5,000 RPM.
The SOUL Performance Exhaust removes this valved secondary-flow architecture entirely.
Instead, the system provides one dedicated exhaust path through the cast transition cones, 3-inch piping, X-pipe, and 4-inch exhaust tips.
The result is immediate access to substantially more of the GT3's natural exhaust sound regardless of factory valve programming.
CAST TRANSITION CONES:
The factory exhaust exits through large header flanges before entering the rear muffler assembly.
SOUL developed unique cast transition cones to smoothly reduce this large factory connection into the 3-inch rear exhaust.
Rather than using a short, aggressive fabricated taper, SOUL designed the transition in CAD with a gradual internal radius intended to preserve exhaust flow.
The mating and clamping surfaces are then fully machined to provide an accurate seal.
The cast construction also reduces the number of welded joints compared with a multi-piece fabricated transition, improving durability and consistency.
3-INCH X-PIPE:
Once through the cast transitions, exhaust travels through 3-inch tubing into SOUL's dedicated X-pipe.
The crossover blends exhaust pulses from the opposing cylinder banks, helping create a smoother and more continuous exhaust tone.
For the GT3's high-revving naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six, the result is a more pronounced, higher-pitched character as RPM increases.
HELMHOLTZ RESONATORS:
During development, SOUL identified a resonance / drone range around approximately 3,400–4,000 RPM.
Rather than adding conventional mufflers to the primary exhaust path, SOUL uses specifically tuned Helmholtz resonators to target these undesirable frequencies.
This allows the Performance Exhaust to remain:
Free flowing
Non-valved
Aggressive throughout the rev range
More comfortable inside the cabin than an unresonated muffler-delete system
The resonators are intended to reduce and smooth resonance, not make the system silent.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The SOUL Performance Exhaust provides a major increase in sound while remaining less extreme than a complete header-back Race Exhaust.
Expect:
Throatier low-RPM sound
Greater flat-six presence during normal driving
Increased mechanical engine character
More immediate exhaust feedback from throttle inputs
Stronger sound throughout the rev range
A smoother tone through the X-pipe
Progressively more aggressive character as RPM rises
A pronounced high-RPM flat-six wail
No dependence on factory exhaust-valve programming
SOUL describes the resulting volume as similar to the center muffler bypass systems used on previous 997- and 991-generation GT3 models.
FACTORY HEADERS & CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
This Performance Exhaust System is a rear exhaust upgrade only.
It retains the Porsche factory:
Headers
Catalytic converters
Emissions equipment
Because the factory header and catalyst assemblies remain installed, SOUL states that installing this rear exhaust does not affect the vehicle's emissions requirements.
Customers looking for replacement headers or a complete header-back solution should instead consider SOUL's Race Exhaust System or Valved Exhaust Package.
VALVE DELETE MODULES:
Removing the factory rear exhaust also removes the original electronic exhaust valves.
The vehicle electronics expect those valve actuators to remain present and functioning.
SOUL includes dedicated Valve Delete Modules that replicate the expected factory valve signals, allowing the original valved exhaust hardware to be removed without creating a valve-related check engine light.
No separate exhaust-valve controller is required for the Performance Exhaust itself because the new exhaust contains no valves.
PERFORMANCE EXHAUST VS. VALVED EXHAUST:
Performance Exhaust System
Non-valved

Porsche 992.1 GT3 / GT3 RS SOUL Valved Exhaust System
from $5,755.00
Product Description
The SOUL Valved Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 992.1 GT3 and GT3 RS owners looking for a substantial improvement in sound while retaining the factory headers, catalytic-converter assemblies, and electronically controlled exhaust valves.
Rather than replacing the complete exhaust system, this system replaces the factory rear muffler assembly and connects to the existing header outlets through SOUL's purpose-built smooth-radius cast transition cones.
With the valves open, exhaust flows through 3-inch piping into a large-diameter X-pipe, blending the two cylinder banks for a smoother, higher-pitched flat-six exhaust note. With the valves closed, exhaust is progressively directed through SOUL's bespoke X-chamber muffler, which uses straight-through perforated tubing, acoustic packing, and an internal X-pipe to reduce unwanted resonance while maintaining a more engaging tone than the factory exhaust.
The result is an OEM+ style system that preserves factory-controlled valve operation and cruising refinement while providing significantly greater mechanical character and an aggressive high-RPM wail when the valves open. SOUL Performance Products

CAST TRANSITION CONES:
The factory GT3 exhaust uses a large outlet from the factory header and emissions assembly before entering the rear muffler.
SOUL developed dedicated cast transition cones to create a gradual transition into the aftermarket rear exhaust.
Rather than using an aggressively tapered fabricated section, the cast design allows SOUL to optimize the radius and internal shape from CAD through final machining.
The mating surfaces are then precision machined to provide an accurate seal.
The design reduces unnecessary weld joints while creating a smooth exhaust path into the rear system. SOUL Performance Products
VALVES OPEN:
As the factory electronic valves open, exhaust flows through the system's primary 3-inch piping and external X-pipe.
This configuration provides:
Increased overall exhaust volume
Higher-pitched flat-six character
Stronger mechanical engine tone
Greater high-RPM presence
Smoother blending between the two cylinder banks
More aggressive character at wide-open throttle
Unlike a simple bypass-style system, some sound energy continues to interact with the secondary muffled path even when the valves are open. SOUL uses this intentionally to smooth the exhaust tone and reduce unwanted resonance without adding additional resonators to the primary path. SOUL Performance Products
VALVES CLOSED:
With the valves closed, exhaust is routed through SOUL's bespoke X-chamber muffler.
The muffler uses straight-through perforated piping surrounded by acoustic packing rather than a highly restrictive chambered flow path.
An internal X-pipe allows exhaust from both cylinder banks to merge inside the muffler.
This provides:
Reduced cruising volume
Smoother low-RPM tone
Reduced cabin drone
Increased refinement during normal driving
More exhaust character than the factory rear muffler
A more gradual transition between quiet and aggressive operation
SOUL specifically developed this architecture to control resonance in the sub-3,000 RPM range. SOUL Performance Products
FACTORY ELECTRONIC VALVE OPERATION:
The 992 GT3 uses electronically actuated exhaust valves rather than simple vacuum-operated valves.
SOUL states that the factory programming generally operates the valves as follows:
Closed below approximately 4,000 RPM
Gradually opening between approximately 4,000 and 5,000 RPM
Fully open at approximately 5,000 RPM
Even with PSE activated, the factory control strategy can close the valves again under acceleration before progressively reopening them as RPM increases.
The SOUL Valved Exhaust retains this factory-controlled behavior.
For owners looking for complete valve override and 100% open operation regardless of RPM, SOUL notes that ECU calibration or an appropriate aftermarket valve controller can alter the factory strategy. SOUL Performance Products
SOUND CHARACTER:
SOUL designed this system as a refined OEM+ valved exhaust rather than its most extreme GT3 offering.
Expect:
Greater exhaust presence during casual driving
Smoother flat-six tone
Higher-pitched character throughout the RPM range
Increased mechanical engine sound
More refined tone than the hollow factory rear exhaust
Comfortable cabin presence during normal driving
Moderate increase in aggression at wide-open throttle
Stronger high-RPM wail as the valves progressively open
SOUL describes the system as a "gentleman's OEM+" type of experience: clearly more exciting than stock, but substantially more restrained than its Race Exhaust System. SOUL Performance Products
FACTORY HEADERS & CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
Unlike the SOUL Valved Exhaust Package, this standalone Valved Exhaust System does not include replacement headers or catalyst sections.
The factory header and emissions assemblies remain installed.
This makes the Valved Exhaust a good option for owners who primarily want to improve exhaust tone and volume without replacing the complete header and catalyst system.
Owners looking for a complete header-to-tip solution should instead consider SOUL's Valved Exhaust Package.
VALVED EXHAUST SYSTEM VS. VALVED EXHAUST PACKAGE:
Valved Exhaust System
Rear exhaust upgrade
Retains factory headers
Retains factory catalyst assemblies
Retains factory electronic valve control
Lower cost
Best suited to owners primarily seeking improved sound
Valved Exhaust Package
Complete header and rear exhaust solution
Replaces factory headers
Available with catted or catless sections
Greater exhaust-flow potential
More extensive performance-oriented upgrade
Considerably higher purchase price

Product Description
The SOUL Valved Exhaust Package is a complete header-and-rear-exhaust solution for the Porsche 992.1 GT3 and GT3 RS, combining long-tube performance headers with a purpose-built valved rear exhaust system for substantially improved flow, sound, and driver control.
SOUL replaces the restrictive factory header architecture with long-tube runners and CNC-machined merge collectors, then routes exhaust into interchangeable catted or catless sections before reaching the rear valved exhaust. With the valves open, exhaust flows through a full 3-inch X-pipe path for maximum flow and a higher-pitched, aggressive flat-six wail. With the valves closed, gases are routed through a secondary path and bespoke SOUL muffler to reduce cabin presence and drone while retaining considerably more character than the factory system.
The result is a complete exhaust package that combines the response and flow benefits of performance headers with meaningful factory-style valve control—comfortable enough for normal driving while delivering a dramatically more aggressive sound when the engine is pushed. SOUL Performance Products

LONG-TUBE HEADER DESIGN:
The SOUL Valved Exhaust Package replaces the factory headers rather than connecting only to the stock manifolds.
The factory system must accommodate emissions hardware, mass-production requirements, sound regulations, packaging constraints, and the large connection into the original rear muffler.
SOUL's long-tube design allows the primary runners and collectors to be optimized around exhaust flow and performance instead.
The headers feed directly into the interchangeable catted or catless sections before reaching the valved rear exhaust, creating a cohesive header-back system rather than combining an aftermarket rear muffler with restrictive factory manifolds.
CNC MERGE COLLECTORS:
The headers use dedicated CNC-machined merge collectors to smoothly combine the individual primary runners.
Collector geometry is particularly important on the GT3's naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine because exhaust-pulse management can influence scavenging, engine response, midrange performance, and high-RPM breathing.
SOUL designed the collector architecture as part of the complete system rather than simply increasing tubing diameter.
VALVES OPEN:
When the factory-controlled valves open, exhaust is allowed to flow through the system's 3-inch primary piping and X-pipe.
This configuration provides:
Maximum available exhaust flow
Significantly greater overall exhaust volume
Higher-pitched flat-six character
Stronger mechanical engine tone
Aggressive high-RPM wail
Smooth blending of the two cylinder banks through the X-pipe
The system is designed to become increasingly aggressive as the factory valve strategy opens the exhaust at higher RPM.
VALVES CLOSED:
With the valves closed, exhaust is routed through the secondary flow path and SOUL's bespoke muffler.
The muffler uses straight-through perforated tubing rather than forcing exhaust through a highly restrictive chambered design.
Sound energy passes through the perforations into the surrounding packing material, while an internal X-pipe blends flow from both cylinder banks.
This configuration is designed to provide:
Reduced cabin presence
Lower cruising volume
Smoother low-RPM sound
Reduced drone below approximately 3,000 RPM
More refined sound than a muffler-less Race Exhaust
Meaningful sound separation between casual and aggressive driving
FACTORY ELECTRONIC VALVE CONTROL:
The 992 GT3 uses electronically actuated exhaust valves.
SOUL states that the factory programming generally keeps the valves closed below approximately 4,000 RPM, gradually opens them between approximately 4,000 and 5,000 RPM, and reaches fully open operation around 5,000 RPM.
The SOUL system retains this electronically controlled behavior.
The included hardware is important because simply relocating, disconnecting, or improperly mounting the factory valve actuators can create check engine lights and performance-related problems.
For owners who want the valves commanded 100% open regardless of RPM or throttle strategy, an appropriate ECU calibration can be used to alter the factory valve logic.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The Valved Exhaust Package is designed to bridge the gap between a touring-friendly exhaust and SOUL's significantly more aggressive Race Exhaust.
Expect:
More exhaust presence during normal driving
Higher-pitched flat-six tone
Greater mechanical engine character
Smoother exhaust quality at lower RPM
Reasonable cabin presence below approximately 4,000 RPM
Noticeable difference between valves-closed and valves-open operation
Aggressive high-RPM wail as the valves open
Greater refinement than a muffler-less race system
With the valves closed, the system remains noticeably more pronounced than stock but is designed to stay controlled.
As RPM rises and the valves open, the system transitions into a much more aggressive motorsport-oriented sound.
COMPETITION / CATLESS CONFIGURATION:
The Competition configuration eliminates the catalytic converters entirely.
This provides:
Maximum exhaust flow
Maximum sound
Greatest track-focused character
Reduced exhaust restriction
Most aggressive high-RPM exhaust note
Ability to convert later to the catted configuration using the modular catalyst sections
Removing the catalytic converters can trigger catalyst-efficiency-related diagnostic trouble codes and a check engine light.
SOUL recommends an appropriate custom ECU calibration when necessary for track-use applications.
CATTED CONFIGURATION:
The catted configuration incorporates SOUL's current-production high-flow performance catalytic converters into the exhaust system.
This configuration:
Retains catalytic converters
Reduces overall exhaust volume compared with the catless version
Maintains the full valved-exhaust architecture
Retains the long-tube headers and high-flow X-pipe design
Allows later conversion to the Competition configuration
SOUL's current construction specification lists a SOUL-designed 300-cell catalytic converter with a custom-specified precious-metal coating and triple-metal-matrix core. SOUL Performance Products
MODULAR CATTED / CATLESS SECTIONS:
The catalyst sections are interchangeable.
This means an owner can purchase the system in one configuration and later change between:
Competition / Catless
and
High-Flow Catted
without replacing the headers, rear valved exhaust, or exhaust tips.
This is particularly useful for GT3 owners who want a quieter catted configuration for normal use but may want the additional flow and sound of a catless configuration for closed-course events.
EXHAUST TIP OPTIONS:
Two 4-inch single-wall tip styles are available:
Slash Cut Single Wall
Straight Cut Single Wall
Each style is offered in:
Signature Satin
Brushed
Satin Black
The exhaust uses a modular tip plate similar in concept to SOUL's previous-generation GT3 systems, allowing the tip assemblies to be changed independently of the exhaust itself.
VALVED PACKAGE VS. RACE EXHAUST:
The SOUL Valved Exhaust Package and Race Exhaust share the same general philosophy of replacing the restrictive factory headers and exhaust architecture, but they target different priorities.
Valved Exhaust Package
Retains functional electronic exhaust valves
Bespoke muffler for quieter operation
Reduced cruising drone
Strong difference between casual and high-RPM driving
Better suited to mixed street and track use
Race Exhaust
Non-valved
No primary muffler
Lower weight
Maximum exhaust volume
More consistently aggressive character
Better suited to owners prioritizing track use, maximum sound, and minimum weight
EUROPEAN-SPEC VEHICLES:
SOUL lists European-specification GT3 and GT3 RS models as physically compatible.
Because these vehicles use different emissions hardware and diagnostic strategies, SOUL states that European applications must be paired with an appropriate OBD device or ECU calibration to address resulting check engine lights.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
The Competition / Catless configuration may trigger a check engine light because the factory catalytic converters are removed.
SOUL recommends an appropriate custom ECU calibration where necessary for closed-course use.
The catted configuration reduces the likelihood of catalyst-related diagnostic issues but replaces the factory emissions hardware and should not be treated as guaranteeing OEM-equivalent emissions-monitoring behavior.
EMISSIONS / COMPETITION USE NOTE:
The SOUL Valved Exhaust Package replaces factory emissions components and is not CARB certified.
The Competition configuration completely removes the catalytic converters.
The catted configuration replaces the factory catalysts with aftermarket high-flow units.
SOUL identifies this product for closed-course competition use only where required.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Product Description
The SOUL Race Exhaust System is the most performance-focused complete exhaust configuration for the Porsche 992.1 GT3 and GT3 RS, replacing the restrictive factory headers, catalytic-converter assemblies, particulate-filter sections, factory rear muffler, and exhaust valves with a lightweight, high-flow system engineered around maximum power and sound.
Long-tube headers use optimized primary runners and CNC-machined merge collectors to improve exhaust flow before feeding interchangeable catted or catless sections. From there, exhaust travels through a full 3-inch rear exhaust system and X-pipe designed to blend the two cylinder banks for a smoother, higher-pitched motorsport exhaust note.
The modular architecture allows owners to switch between the Competition catless configuration and SOUL's 300-cell high-flow catalytic-converter configuration without replacing the complete exhaust system.
The result is a dramatic reduction in exhaust-system weight, significantly increased exhaust flow, measurable naturally aspirated power gains, and a high-pitched sound designed to evoke a Porsche Cup Car or RSR-style experience. SOUL Performance Products

LONG-TUBE HEADERS:
The factory 992 GT3 exhaust manifolds must balance emissions requirements, production packaging, catalyst placement, cost, and noise regulations.
SOUL's Race Exhaust removes those compromises by replacing the original header and catalyst assemblies with a performance-focused long-tube design.
SOUL optimized the transition from the cylinder-head flange into the primary runners and uses smooth-radius bends leading into dedicated merge collectors.
Rather than using a conventional slip-fit collector, SOUL developed a bespoke billet collector designed from CAD and manufactured by CNC machining.
The design allows longer primary runners while eliminating several welded joints from the collector assembly, increasing both exhaust-flow potential and durability.
CNC-MACHINED MERGE COLLECTORS:
The merge collector is one of the most technically significant components of the Race Exhaust System.
SOUL uses billet 304L stainless steel head flanges and merge collectors precision machined on a 5-axis CNC machine.
The collector incorporates performance-oriented merge geometry and merge spikes to smoothly combine exhaust pulses from the individual cylinders.
The goal is to improve:
Exhaust-gas velocity
Cylinder-to-cylinder flow consistency
Throttle response
Midrange output
High-RPM breathing
Overall naturally aspirated engine efficiency
This architecture is particularly relevant to the GT3's 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, where exhaust tuning and collector design directly influence scavenging and high-RPM performance. SOUL Performance Products
FULL 3-INCH REAR EXHAUST:
After the interchangeable catalyst section, exhaust flows through a full 3-inch rear exhaust system.
The factory architecture uses large catalyst assemblies feeding an exceptionally heavy dual-entry rear muffler through a large factory connection point.
SOUL removes this architecture entirely and concentrates on maintaining exhaust flow from the headers through the rear of the vehicle.
The system is constructed from .065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel to provide the durability required for repeated high-temperature track use.
X-PIPE DESIGN:
After the catalyst or bypass sections, exhaust from both cylinder banks enters a dedicated X-pipe.
SOUL designed the crossover to minimize internal diameter reduction while maximizing communication between the two exhaust banks.
Blending the exhaust pulses produces a smoother, more continuous exhaust note and helps move the character away from two independent banks toward a higher-pitched motorsport-style wail.
The resulting sound is substantially more aggressive than the factory exhaust.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The SOUL Race Exhaust System sits at the extreme end of the 992 GT3 exhaust spectrum.
Expect:
Dramatically increased exhaust volume
Higher-pitched flat-six character
Much stronger mechanical engine sound
Aggressive high-RPM wail
Increased exhaust presence throughout the rev range
More immediate response to throttle inputs
A smoother tone from the X-pipe crossover
A Cup Car / RSR-inspired character at high RPM
SOUL specifically describes the Race Exhaust as being extreme for a street-driven vehicle.
The Competition catless configuration provides the greatest volume and most aggressive sound.
The 300-cell catted configuration reduces sound somewhat while retaining the fundamental character and high-flow design of the Race Exhaust. SOUL Performance Products
DYNO-PROVEN POWER:
SOUL had the Race Exhaust System tested by Hydra Motor Works on a Dynojet.
With the SOUL Race Exhaust System alone, testing produced peak gains of approximately:
+23 wheel horsepower
+19 lb-ft of torque
SOUL also reports strong gains through the midrange and near maximum engine speed.
When the Race Exhaust was subsequently paired with a Hydra Motor Works Stage 2 ECU calibration, SOUL reports peak gains of approximately:
+60 wheel horsepower
+26 lb-ft of torque
with maximum gains at portions of the power curve exceeding:
+60 wheel horsepower
+70 lb-ft of torque
The +23 whp / +19 lb-ft figures are the exhaust-only test results. The larger numbers represent the combined exhaust and ECU calibration rather than the exhaust alone. SOUL Performance Products
WEIGHT SAVINGS:
The factory exhaust components weigh approximately:
68.2 lbs / 30.9 kg
The complete Competition / Catless Race Exhaust weighs approximately:
42.9 lbs / 19.5 kg
Approximate weight savings:
25.3 lbs / 11.4 kg
The complete Catted Race Exhaust weighs approximately:
47.6 lbs / 21.6 kg
Approximate weight savings:
20.6 lbs / 9.3 kg
This is a significant reduction at the rear of the vehicle while simultaneously replacing the headers, catalyst assemblies, muffler, valves, and associated factory exhaust hardware. SOUL Performance Products
MODULAR CATALYST SECTIONS:
The Race Exhaust is designed so the catalyst section can be changed independently of the headers and rear exhaust.
Owners can therefore switch between:
Competition – No Catalytic Converters
Maximum exhaust flow
Minimum system weight
Maximum exhaust volume
Maximum motorsport character
Approximately 42.9-lb complete system weight
300-Cell High-Flow Catalytic Converters
Retains catalytic converters
SOUL-designed 300-cell catalyst cores
Custom-specified precious-metal catalyst coating
Triple-metal-matrix core construction
Reduced exhaust volume compared with the catless configuration
Approximately 47.6-lb complete system weight
The modular architecture also allows replacement catalyst or catless sections to be purchased later without replacing the headers or rear X-pipe assembly. SOUL Performance Products
ELECTRONIC VALVE SIMULATORS:
The factory 992 GT3 uses electronically actuated exhaust valves.
These actuators cannot simply be unplugged or removed when installing a non-valved race exhaust.
SOUL states that removing the factory valve actuators without properly simulating their operation can trigger a check engine light and place the vehicle into a reduced rev limiter of approximately 6,000 RPM.
The Race Exhaust therefore includes dedicated valve simulators.
The simulators plug into the factory valve wiring and allow the original exhaust valves and actuators to be removed without creating the valve-related fault condition.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
Both Race Exhaust configurations replace the original Porsche catalyst assemblies.
SOUL states that this product may trigger a check engine light due to removal of the factory catalytic converters.
European-specification vehicles require an appropriate OBD device or ECU calibration to address resulting diagnostic faults.
Customers should not assume that selecting the high-flow catted configuration guarantees factory-equivalent emissions-monitoring behavior.
EXHAUST TIP OPTIONS:
The Race Exhaust is available with two 4-inch single-wall exhaust-tip styles:
4" Slash Cut Single Wall
4" Straight Cut Single Wall
Each tip style is available in:
Signature Satin
Brushed
Satin Black
The tip design does not change exhaust-system performance, allowing the customer to select the appearance that best matches the vehicle.
EMISSIONS / COMPETITION USE NOTE:
The SOUL Race Exhaust System replaces the factory emissions hardware and is not CARB certified.
SOUL identifies this system as intended for closed-course competition use only where required.
The Competition configuration completely removes the catalytic converters.
The high-flow catted configuration also replaces the original Porsche catalytic converters with aftermarket components.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal emissions regulations before installation or use.
