The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters are designed for Porsche 992.1 Carrera owners looking for one of the most impactful hardware upgrades available for the 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six.

The factory 992.1 catalytic converters use highly restrictive 700-cell catalyst cores that significantly reduce turbocharger and exhaust sound. SOUL replaces these assemblies with substantially freer-flowing performance catalytic converters, allowing the turbochargers to breathe more efficiently while retaining a catted exhaust configuration.

The increased exhaust flow provides noticeably greater turbocharger sound, a deeper and throatier engine note, improved turbo response, and stronger drivability. Unlike a complete rear exhaust replacement, the Sport Catalytic Converters target one of the most restrictive sections of the factory turbo-back exhaust system while retaining the vehicle's existing muffler and valve configuration.

IMPORTANT PREVIOUS-GENERATION CATALYST NOTE:

Earlier SOUL 992.1 Sport Catalytic Converters used HJS catalyst cores.

SOUL notes that some 2021 and newer 992 models equipped with those previous-generation HJS Sport Catalytic Converters may trigger a check engine light.

NORTH AMERICAN VS. EUROPEAN VEHICLES:

North American Vehicles

The Sport Catalytic Converters are specifically designed for North American-market 992.1 Carrera models without Gasoline Particulate Filters.

Current-production units are designed to operate without catalyst-related check engine lights under normal conditions.

European / GPF-Spec Vehicles

SOUL states that the Sport Catalytic Converters can also be installed on European-specification vehicles.

However, these applications require an appropriate ECU calibration to eliminate resulting diagnostic fault codes.

Owners of non-North-American vehicles should confirm their vehicle's emissions hardware before ordering.

FACTORY PSE / NON-PSE COMPATIBILITY:

The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters are installed upstream of the rear exhaust system.

They are therefore compatible with both:
