The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters are designed for Porsche 992.1 Turbo owners looking for one of the most impactful exhaust upgrades available for the twin-turbocharged flat-six.

The factory 992 Turbo uses highly restrictive 700-cell catalytic converters that significantly suppress turbocharger sound and create substantial exhaust restriction immediately downstream of the turbochargers. SOUL replaces these assemblies with high-flow performance catalytic converters designed to increase exhaust flow while retaining a catted configuration.

The increased flow allows considerably more turbocharger spool and whistle to come through the exhaust while producing a stronger, throatier engine note. Reduced post-turbine restriction also improves turbo response and overall drivability.

Current-production SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters use an updated performance catalyst extensively tested by SOUL to provide the desired sound and performance improvements without triggering a catalyst-related check engine light under normal operating conditions.

WHY UPGRADE THE FACTORY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS?

The factory catalytic converters are one of the major exhaust restrictions on the 992.1 Turbo platform.

Porsche's original 700-cell catalyst cores provide substantial emissions performance and sound attenuation, but they also restrict exhaust flow immediately downstream of the turbochargers.

Replacing them with SOUL's freer-flowing performance catalysts allows exhaust gases to leave the turbine housings more efficiently.

IMPORTANT PREVIOUS-GENERATION CATALYST NOTE:

Earlier SOUL 992 Sport Catalytic Converters used HJS catalyst cores.

SOUL states that some 2021 and newer 992 models equipped with those previous-generation HJS Sport Catalytic Converters may produce a check engine light.

Current-production units use a different performance catalyst that SOUL has extensively tested to meet its current sound, performance, and diagnostic targets.

PSE COMPATIBILITY:

This product uses SOUL part number POR.992TPSE.SCC and is intended for the applicable 992 Turbo exhaust architecture.

The Sport Catalytic Converters replace the upstream catalyst assemblies without eliminating the downstream Porsche Sport Exhaust valve system.

Factory exhaust-valve functionality is therefore retained when used with the compatible PSE rear exhaust configuration.

SPORT CLASSIC / DAKAR COMPATIBILITY:

SOUL specifically lists the 992 Sport Classic and 992 Dakar among the US-market applications for these Sport Catalytic Converters.

Both models use compatible turbocharged 992 exhaust architecture, allowing the same high-flow catalyst assemblies to be used without creating separate product variants.
