Porsche 992.2 Carrera / Carrera T / Carrera S SOUL Performance Exhaust System
Porsche 992.2 Carrera / Carrera T / Carrera S SOUL Performance Exhaust System
from $5,695.00
Product Description
The SOUL Performance Exhaust System is a complete non-valved turbo-back exhaust solution for the 2025+ Porsche 992.2 Carrera, Carrera T, and Carrera S, engineered for customers prioritizing maximum exhaust flow, sound, and future performance potential.
Unlike SOUL's Valved Exhaust System, the Performance Exhaust uses a single, unrestricted 3-inch flow path throughout the complete system. Removing the quieter secondary flow path required by a valved exhaust allows substantially greater sound and exhaust flow under all driving conditions.
Two configurations are available. The Street Performance Exhaust incorporates SOUL high-flow Sport Catalytic Converters, while the Competition Performance Exhaust uses a catless configuration for maximum flow and track-oriented sound.
A precision-engineered 3-inch X-pipe muffler section, dual resonators, and integrated Helmholtz anti-drone chambers help produce a richer, smoother, higher-pitched flat-six exhaust note while controlling unwanted resonance around approximately 2,000–2,400 RPM.
Importantly, this is a complete, dedicated turbo-back exhaust system. It is not a modular combination of SOUL's separately sold catalyst and cat-back components.

FULL 3-INCH TURBO-BACK DESIGN:
The factory 992.2 Carrera exhaust architecture is restricted to approximately 2.75-inch tubing.
SOUL replaces the complete system with a full 3-inch flow path, beginning at the turbocharger outlet sections and continuing through the X-pipe and rear exhaust.
Increasing exhaust diameter throughout the complete turbo-back system reduces restriction and provides additional flow capacity for both stock and modified engines.
This architecture is particularly relevant for vehicles that may later receive:
ECU tuning
Upgraded turbochargers
Fueling upgrades
Additional engine modifications
The Performance Exhaust is therefore intended not only as a sound upgrade, but also as a foundation for higher-output 992.2 Carrera builds.
NON-VALVED PERFORMANCE DESIGN:
Unlike the SOUL Valved Exhaust, the Performance Exhaust uses a single exhaust path without electronically controlled muffler valves.
There is no quiet secondary flow path.
This means the exhaust remains in its full performance configuration at all times, providing:
Maximum available exhaust flow
Greater overall exhaust volume
Consistent exhaust character regardless of drive mode
Increased turbocharger sound
Simpler exhaust routing
Greater performance potential
Customers prioritizing a quieter cruising mode should consider the SOUL Valved Exhaust or Street Package instead.
3-INCH X-PIPE:
The Performance Exhaust incorporates a dedicated 3-inch X-pipe muffler section.
The crossover blends exhaust pulses from the opposing cylinder banks, helping create a smoother and more cohesive exhaust note rather than allowing each bank to operate acoustically in isolation.
The result is a richer, more refined tone with a higher-pitched character as engine speed increases.
DUAL RESONATORS:
SOUL uses dual resonators to refine the exhaust tone without substantially restricting the primary flow path.
These resonators help control harsh frequencies and rasp while retaining the aggressive character expected from a non-valved turbo-back system.
The goal is maximum flow and volume without allowing the exhaust note to become uncontrolled or coarse.
HELMHOLTZ ANTI-DRONE SYSTEM:
Reduced exhaust restriction can introduce resonance during steady-state cruising.
SOUL targets the 992 platform's approximately 2,000–2,400 RPM resonance range using integrated Helmholtz anti-drone chambers.
These chambers target specific frequencies rather than simply muffling the entire exhaust system.
The result is reduced cabin resonance while maintaining the aggressive sound of the free-flowing exhaust.
SOUL still describes the Performance Exhaust as an aggressive system. Customers seeking the lowest possible cruising drone should consider the Valved Exhaust System.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Expect:
Significantly increased overall exhaust volume
Greater turbocharger spool and whistle
Richer flat-six exhaust sound
Smoother exhaust character
Higher-pitched tone as RPM increases
Stronger mechanical feedback
A ripping growl under acceleration
Increased burbles during Sport-mode deceleration
Greater exhaust presence throughout the rev range
Reduced resonance compared with an unengineered straight-pipe configuration
The Competition configuration provides the most aggressive sound.
The Street configuration retains high-flow catalytic converters and provides a somewhat more controlled character while remaining significantly louder and freer flowing than the factory system.
STREET PERFORMANCE EXHAUST:
The Street configuration incorporates SOUL's high-flow Sport Catalytic Converters into the complete 3-inch turbo-back system.
This configuration provides:
Full 3-inch turbo-back architecture
High-flow catalytic converters
Increased exhaust flow
Increased turbocharger sound
Greater flat-six character
Reduced restriction compared with the factory exhaust
Non-valved exhaust sound at all times
A more street-oriented configuration than the Competition system
COMPETITION PERFORMANCE EXHAUST:
The Competition configuration eliminates the catalytic converters for maximum available exhaust flow.
This provides:
Full 3-inch catless turbo-back architecture
Maximum exhaust flow
Maximum turbocharger sound
Maximum overall exhaust volume
Lowest exhaust restriction
Greatest weight reduction
Strongest track-focused character
The complete Competition system weighs approximately:
36.45 lbs / 16.5 kg
Comparable factory components weigh approximately:
42.95 lbs / 19.5 kg
Approximate weight savings:
6.5 lbs / 2.9 kg
VALVE ACTUATOR BRACKET:
Every 992.2 Carrera uses electronically monitored exhaust-valve actuators.
Although the SOUL Performance Exhaust itself contains no exhaust valves, those factory electronic actuators cannot simply be disconnected without potentially creating vehicle faults.
SOUL therefore provides a custom bracket that mounts the original actuators and mimics their expected mechanical operation.
This allows the vehicle electronics to continue seeing normal exhaust-valve actuator movement while the physical exhaust remains completely non-valved.
The bracket specifically addresses the factory exhaust-valve actuator system.
COMPLETE NON-MODULAR SYSTEM:
This is particularly important when configuring an order.
The SOUL Performance Exhaust is a complete turbo-back system specifically designed to function as one assembly.
It is not compatible with the factory Porsche rear exhaust.
It is also not designed to be mixed with SOUL's separately sold 992.2 exhaust components, including the standalone:
X-Pipe Exhaust System
Valved Exhaust System
Sport Catalytic Converters
Competition Link Pipes
The Street and Competition catalyst sections supplied with the Performance Exhaust are part of this dedicated complete-system architecture.

Customers planning a complete turbo-back system from the beginning should consider the Performance Exhaust, while customers building the exhaust in stages may prefer the standalone X-Pipe.
ECU TUNING:
The Performance Exhaust can be paired with an appropriate ECU calibration to take greater advantage of its increased exhaust-flow capacity.
SOUL specifically recommends pairing the system with tuning when maximum performance is the goal.
No standalone horsepower or torque figure is currently published for the 992.2 Performance Exhaust, so specific power gains should not be assumed.
EMISSIONS / USE NOTE:
The Street configuration replaces the original Porsche catalytic converters with aftermarket high-flow catalysts.
The Competition configuration eliminates the catalytic converters.
The Competition configuration may not be legal for operation on emissions-controlled vehicles on public roads and should only be used where permitted.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
