The SOUL Sport Side Mufflers are a dedicated exhaust upgrade for the 2002–2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S, developed specifically around the C4S's unique wide-body rear exhaust packaging.

SOUL uses proprietary drone-fighting mufflers to increase the naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six's volume and mechanical character under moderate and aggressive throttle while maintaining a refined, OEM-plus cabin presence during cruising.

Rather than simply making the 996 louder, SOUL focused on avoiding the excessive rasp, harshness, and low-frequency cabin resonance that can result from overly aggressive exhaust modifications. The Sport Side Mufflers were developed alongside SOUL's high-flow catalytic-converter upgrades so that the system remains controlled even when additional upstream exhaust restriction is removed.

Each system is hand fabricated from 2.25-inch, .065-inch-wall T304L stainless-steel tubing, bespoke SOUL mufflers, and laser-cut brackets. Polished Chrome and Black Chrome exhaust-tip finishes are available.

DEDICATED CARRERA 4S DESIGN

The 996 Carrera 4S uses different rear exhaust packaging from the standard narrow-body Carrera.

For that reason, SOUL offers these as a dedicated C4S muffler system rather than using the standard 996 Carrera Sport Side Mufflers.

This distinction is important:

Standard 996 Carrera Sport Side Mufflers

do not fit the Carrera 4S.

The C4S requires this dedicated system.
