The SOUL Competition X-Pipe is designed for Porsche 997.1 Carrera owners looking to reduce exhaust restriction, decrease weight, and add a more aggressive naturally aspirated flat-six exhaust character. Replacing the factory center exhaust section with a freer-flowing X-pipe architecture improves exhaust flow through one of the most restrictive areas of the factory system.
SOUL developed the Competition X-Pipe around large-diameter mandrel-bent tubing and a crossover designed to improve flow between the two cylinder banks. The result is a lighter and less restrictive center exhaust section that works with both factory and upgraded rear mufflers.
Weight reduction is significant for a relatively compact exhaust component. The factory center section weighs approximately 15.65 lbs, while the SOUL Competition X-Pipe weighs approximately 10 lbs, saving approximately 5.65 lbs / 2.5 kg.

SOUND CHARACTER:
The Competition X-Pipe increases the amount of flat-six exhaust character that reaches the driver by reducing restriction through the center section and connecting the two exhaust banks through an X-pipe crossover.
When paired with the factory rear mufflers, the system provides a more aggressive version of the factory exhaust character while retaining much of the sound control provided by the original mufflers.
Pairing the Competition X-Pipe with SOUL Sport Side Mufflers or the SOUL Valved Exhaust System will further increase overall exhaust volume and create a substantially more aggressive complete exhaust configuration.
