The SOUL Valved Side Mufflers are designed for Porsche 997.2 Carrera owners who want the ability to switch between a refined, drone-free exhaust note and an aggressive CUP-inspired flat-six sound at the press of a button.
With the valves closed, exhaust gases are routed through SOUL's bespoke mufflers for a sophisticated OEM+ tone suitable for normal street driving and highway cruising. SOUL specifically developed the mufflers to control unwanted frequencies, providing a refined cabin experience even when paired with higher-flow catalytic converters.
With the valves open, the mufflers are effectively bypassed for a much freer exhaust path and dramatically more aggressive naturally aspirated flat-six sound. The difference between the two modes gives the 997.2 Carrera substantially more personality without requiring the car to remain loud all the time.
The valves default to the closed position at startup, providing a more civilized cold-start experience. Valve operation is controlled with the included wireless remotes and can also be programmed to compatible factory HomeLink buttons.

This is the default position at startup and is designed for comfortable street driving, highway cruising, early-morning starts, and situations where reduced exhaust volume is preferred.
SOUL specifically designed the closed-valve mode to remain drone-free during cruising, including vehicles fitted with aftermarket catalytic converters.

Opening the valves provides a much freer-flowing exhaust path and dramatically increases volume.
The resulting sound is much more raw and aggressive, with SOUL describing the character as reminiscent of an air-cooled Porsche CUP car.
When paired with high-flow catalytic converters or catless headers, the valves-open configuration becomes considerably louder.
The correct Existing Exhaust configuration must be selected when ordering.
Standard Exhaust / Non-PSE
Select this configuration for cars that were not originally equipped with Porsche Sport Exhaust.
Non-PSE Carrera S, Carrera 4S, and Targa 4S models can reuse compatible factory tips or use SOUL tips.
Base Carrera, Carrera 4, and Targa 4 models must use SOUL tips because the factory outlet/tip configuration is different.
Factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE)
Select this configuration for vehicles originally equipped with factory PSE.
Factory-PSE vehicles must use SOUL exhaust tips for proper fitment.
