Product Description
The SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes are designed for Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S owners looking for maximum exhaust flow, substantial weight reduction, improved throttle response, and a dramatic increase in turbocharger and flat-six sound.
The factory catalytic-converter assemblies are replaced with free-flowing 3-inch stainless steel bypass pipes, substantially reducing restriction immediately downstream of the turbochargers. The freer exhaust path allows significantly more turbocharger sound to come through while adding a more aggressive engine note and pronounced crackles during deceleration.
SOUL selected 3-inch diameter piping to maximize exhaust-flow capacity and complement the performance potential of the 3.8L twin-turbocharged engine.
Weight reduction is substantial. The factory catalytic-converter assemblies weigh approximately 16 lbs, while the SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes weigh approximately 6 lbs, saving approximately 10 lbs / 4.5 kg from the rear of the vehicle.

The factory catalytic converters create a significant restriction immediately downstream of the 997.2 Turbo's turbochargers.
SOUL replaces these assemblies with unrestricted 3-inch stainless steel piping, providing a substantially freer path for exhaust gases leaving the turbine housings.
Reducing restriction in this portion of a turbocharged exhaust system allows exhaust gases to exit the turbines more efficiently while exposing considerably more turbocharger sound.
The result is a more responsive and engaging exhaust configuration with significantly greater turbo presence.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Removing the factory catalytic converters creates one of the most noticeable sound changes available for the 997.2 Turbo.
