The SOUL X-Pipe Exhaust is designed for Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S owners who want a substantial increase in exhaust and turbocharger sound while retaining the factory catalytic converter sections.

Rather than replacing the complete exhaust system, the SOUL X-Pipe replaces the factory rear exhaust section with a freer-flowing 3-inch stainless steel system incorporating SOUL's proprietary X-pipe and mixing-chamber design.

SOUL developed the system with both sound quality and high-horsepower capability in mind. The 3-inch architecture reduces unnecessary exhaust restriction, while the X-pipe mixing chamber is designed to improve exhaust-gas velocity downstream of the crossover.

Four straight-through race resonators help control unwanted resonance and drone while allowing substantially more turbocharger sound, flat-six character, pops, and burbles to reach the driver.

Because the factory catalytic converter sections remain in place, the SOUL X-Pipe provides a straightforward way to make the 997.2 Turbo considerably more engaging without moving immediately to aftermarket sport catalysts or a completely catless exhaust configuration.

X-PIPE / MIXING-CHAMBER DESIGN:

SOUL developed the 997.2 Turbo X-Pipe around a proprietary crossover and mixing chamber rather than simply replacing the factory exhaust with larger straight tubing.

During development, SOUL analyzed exhaust behavior using 3D CAD software across a range of pressure and temperature conditions.

The resulting design showed increased exhaust-gas velocity downstream of the mixing chamber while reducing unnecessary backpressure.

Combined with the full 3-inch tubing, this provides substantial exhaust-flow capacity for both stock and modified 997.2 Turbo applications.

RETAINS FACTORY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:

Unlike the SOUL Sport X-Pipe and Competition X-Pipe systems, this exhaust is specifically designed to retain the factory catalytic converter sections.

This makes it an excellent modular starting point for owners who want more exhaust sound and improved flow while leaving the original catalyst assemblies in place.

Because the catalyst sections are separate from the X-Pipe, they can also be upgraded later without replacing the rear exhaust again.
