Product Description
The SOUL Bolt-On Resonated Turn Down Exhaust Tips are a track-focused solution for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS models and the 911R, designed to help reduce measured exhaust sound at circuits and autocross events with increasingly strict noise limits.
Rather than relying on simple downward-facing tips alone, SOUL incorporates straight-through stainless-steel race resonators into the replacement tip assembly. This combination reduces exhaust sound while maintaining a large, unrestricted flow path intended to minimize any effect on engine performance.
The removable turn-down outlets are attached to the resonators with V-band clamps, allowing them to be quickly loosened and rotated so exhaust can be directed away from trackside sound-monitoring equipment.
SOUL measured a 3–4 dB reduction during one real-world test at 50 feet under wide-open throttle above 7,000 RPM compared with the standard exhaust tips. Actual sound reduction will vary substantially depending on exhaust configuration, measurement distance, microphone angle, weather, track layout, and other conditions.
The complete assembly bolts directly to the factory center muffler—or an aftermarket exhaust that accepts the factory tip mounting plate—and can be swapped on and off in minutes at the track.

DEVELOPED FOR TRACK SOUND LIMITS:
Sound restrictions have become increasingly common at race tracks throughout the United States and internationally.
Highly modified GT3s can exceed those limits, and at particularly restrictive facilities even otherwise stock vehicles may encounter difficulty passing sound checks.
SOUL developed this system after receiving requests from customers participating at venues and events including:
Lime Rock Park
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca
Circuit Mont-Tremblant
SCCA Autocross events
The goal was to create a solution that could be quickly installed at the track without permanently changing the vehicle's normal exhaust configuration.
MORE THAN A SIMPLE TURN-DOWN:
A conventional turn-down tip attempts to reduce measured sound primarily by redirecting exhaust energy toward the ground or away from a sound meter.
SOUL found that simple turn-down outlets may not provide sufficient reduction in every situation.
The Resonated Turn Down system therefore combines two strategies:
Straight-Through Race Resonators
These attenuate exhaust sound while maintaining a relatively unrestricted flow path.
Directional Turn-Down Outlets
These allow exhaust to be directed downward or away from trackside sound-monitoring equipment.
The result is a more comprehensive sound-management solution than a basic slip-on turn-down tip.
STRAIGHT-THROUGH RACE RESONATORS:
The integrated SOUL race resonators are designed around a straight-through internal flow path.
The minimum inside diameter is approximately:
61 mm
For comparison, SOUL measured the factory center muffler's outlet openings at approximately:
59–60 mm
The resonated assembly therefore maintains an internal diameter comparable to or slightly larger than the factory center-muffler outlets.
This allows the resonators to attenuate sound without introducing a dramatically smaller exhaust restriction.
REAL-WORLD SOUND TESTING:
SOUL documented one test using a Porsche running:
Factory headers
Factory side mufflers
Aftermarket center muffler bypass
At approximately:
50 feet
under:
Wide-open throttle above 7,000 RPM
SOUL measured approximately:
3–4 dB less sound
with the Resonated Turn Down Exhaust Tips compared with the standard exhaust tips.
A 3–4 dB reduction can be meaningful at a track where a vehicle is operating close to the venue's maximum allowable sound level.
SOUND REDUCTION IS NOT GUARANTEED:
SOUL specifically warns that a fixed amount of sound reduction cannot be guaranteed.
Sound measurements are affected by many factors, including:
Distance from the microphone
Microphone angle
Exhaust configuration
Headers
Catalytic converters
Center muffler configuration
Side muffler configuration
Engine load
Engine RPM
Vehicle speed
Surrounding terrain
Buildings and reflective surfaces
Weather conditions
Track measurement procedure
The documented 3–4 dB result should therefore be treated as a specific real-world test result rather than a guaranteed reduction for every car or venue.
PROVEN TRACK APPLICATION:
SOUL also reports that the Resonated Turn Down Exhaust Tips have been used with a factory exhaust to meet strict sound restrictions at Bilster Berg Circuit in Germany.
This demonstrates that the system can be useful even for vehicles that are not running an aggressively modified exhaust.
ADJUSTABLE TURN-DOWN DIRECTION:
The turn-down outlets are attached to the resonators using V-band clamps.
Unlike conventional slip-on turn-downs that can become difficult to reposition after repeated heat cycles, the V-band design allows the outlet to be loosened and rotated when necessary.
This gives the driver or crew the ability to orient the exhaust outlets:
Downward
Away from a trackside microphone
Away from a specific sound-control station
The appropriate orientation will depend on the track's sound-measurement location and procedure.
TURN-DOWNS ARE REMOVABLE:
The directional turn-down outlets themselves are optional.
They can be removed while leaving the straight-through resonated assembly installed.
This gives the owner additional flexibility depending on:
Track sound requirements
Exhaust configuration
Desired sound level
Outlet direction requirements
QUICK TRACKSIDE SWAP:
The factory exhaust-tip assembly is held in place with only three nuts.
SOUL designed the Resonated Turn Down Exhaust Tips around the same mounting architecture, allowing the assemblies to be exchanged quickly.
This makes it practical to:
Drive to the track with standard tips
Install the resonated turn-down assembly before going on circuit
Run the sound-restricted event
Reinstall the normal tips afterward
The system therefore does not require the owner to permanently compromise the vehicle's normal appearance or exhaust sound.
FACTORY CENTER MUFFLER COMPATIBILITY:
The assembly bolts directly to the factory Porsche center muffler.
No modification to the center muffler is required.
The original:
Side mufflers
Exhaust valves
Headers
Catalytic converters
Oxygen sensors
can remain untouched.
AFTERMARKET EXHAUST COMPATIBILITY:
The Resonated Turn Down Tips can also be used with an aftermarket muffler or center-muffler bypass that accepts the factory Porsche exhaust-tip mounting plate.
This makes the system compatible with a range of exhaust combinations without requiring a dedicated version for each downstream exhaust configuration.
Fitment should be verified if the aftermarket exhaust replaces or alters the factory tip mounting interface.
WITH SOUL CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS:
The product is particularly useful on vehicles equipped with an aggressive center-muffler bypass.
A Center Muffler Bypass substantially increases exhaust volume and may create problems at sound-restricted tracks.
The Resonated Turn Down Tips provide a temporary way to reduce measured output while retaining the performance-oriented center-muffler configuration.
WITH FACTORY EXHAUST:
Even vehicles retaining the factory Porsche exhaust can encounter restrictive sound limits at certain circuits.
The Resonated Turn Down system can be installed on the factory center muffler without requiring any other exhaust modification.
PERFORMANCE IMPACT:
SOUL engineered the system specifically to reduce sound while minimizing exhaust restriction.
The resonators use a straight-through design, and the system's minimum internal diameter is approximately:
61 mm
compared with approximately:
59–60 mm
at the factory center-muffler exits.
SOUL therefore reports little to no impact on performance from the resonated assembly.
No specific horsepower-loss figure is published, so DasMotoring does not advertise a numerical power change.
CONSTRUCTION:
The system is intended to withstand repeated installation, removal, heat cycling, and track use.
Construction includes:
Full stainless-steel race resonators
Laser-cut bracket components
Hand-finished brackets
V-band-mounted turn-down outlets
Included V-band clamps
The V-band attachment is particularly useful for a component expected to be adjusted or removed repeatedly at track events.
NO ECU TUNING REQUIRED:
The Resonated Turn Down Tips install at the very rear of the exhaust system.
They do not modify:
Catalytic converters
Oxygen sensors
ECU calibration
Factory exhaust valves
No ECU calibration is required for installation.
NO EMISSIONS-SYSTEM CHANGES:
This product does not remove or modify the factory emissions-control equipment.
Any emissions implications associated with the vehicle depend on the rest of the installed exhaust system rather than these resonated exhaust tips.
Porsche 991.1 / 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS SOUL Bolt-On Exhaust Tips
from $655.00
Product Description
The SOUL Bolt-On Exhaust Tips are a direct-fit visual upgrade for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 and GT3 RS models, replacing the factory center exhaust outlets with larger 4-inch stainless-steel tips while retaining the original center muffler.
SOUL offers two tip profiles and three finishes, allowing owners to tailor the rear appearance without replacing the exhaust itself. Each set uses a model-specific stainless-steel backing plate engineered around the factory center-muffler mounting interface.
Importantly, GT3 and GT3 RS models use different backing plates, and the 991.2 requires longer tips than the 991.1 because of its deeper rear bumper. Selecting the correct vehicle when ordering is therefore essential for proper fitment and tip position.
Installation is completely bolt-on, requires no cutting or welding, and allows nearly 1 inch of tip-depth adjustment for precise positioning relative to the rear bumper.

MODEL-SPECIFIC CONSTRUCTION:
These are not universal 4-inch tips.
SOUL builds the assemblies around the specific center-muffler mounting arrangement used by each vehicle.
Two important differences must be accounted for:
GT3 vs. GT3 RS
The GT3 and GT3 RS use different backing plates. The correct model must therefore be selected when ordering.
991.1 vs. 991.2
The 991.2 rear bumper is deeper than the 991.1 rear bumper. SOUL compensates by supplying longer tips for the 991.2 so that the finished outlet position remains correct.
This means that generation and model should both be captured during checkout even though the tip style and finish determine the visible appearance.
4-INCH TIP CONSTRUCTION:
Each exhaust outlet is manufactured from:
4-inch-diameter stainless-steel tubing
with:
.065-inch wall thickness
The larger outlets provide a more substantial appearance than the original tips while remaining appropriately proportioned for the GT3's centrally mounted exhaust.
1/8-INCH T304L BACKING PLATE:
The exhaust tips mount to a dedicated:
1/8-inch-thick T304L stainless-steel backing plate
The backing plate is laser cut for accurate fitment to the center exhaust assembly.
Using a dedicated backing plate allows SOUL to preserve an OEM-style mounting approach rather than requiring welded or improvised exhaust-tip adapters.
ADJUSTABLE TIP DEPTH:
Tip position can be adjusted by nearly:
1 inch
during installation.
This allows the installer to fine-tune how far the outlets protrude from the rear bumper.
Adjustment can be useful for achieving:
More recessed OEM-style positioning
More aggressive outward positioning
Equal left-to-right tip depth
Correct alignment with the rear bumper
MIKALOR HEAVY-DUTY CLAMPS:
SOUL supplies Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 clamps to secure the tips to the backing plate.
These clamps feature:
Stainless-steel construction
Projection-welded components
Swinging-bridge design
High-strength stainless-steel bolt
Captive nut and trunnion
The clamp system allows secure installation while retaining adjustability.
TIP STYLE OPTIONS:
Two different 4-inch profiles are available.
4" Slash Cut Single Wall
The outlet face is cut on an angle, producing a more aggressive appearance when viewed from the side and rear.

DIRECT BOLT-ON INSTALLATION:
SOUL designed the system for straightforward installation using basic hand tools.
Installation involves:
Removing the original factory exhaust-tip assembly
Installing the appropriate SOUL backing plate
Installing the selected 4-inch tips
Adjusting tip depth
Tightening the supplied clamps
There is:
No cutting
No welding
No permanent modification
No ECU programming
SOUL states that most experienced DIY enthusiasts can complete installation in under one hour.
COSMETIC UPGRADE:
This product is primarily an appearance modification.
It does not replace the vehicle's:
Headers
Catalytic converters
Center muffler
Side mufflers
Exhaust valves
Oxygen sensors
Installing the tips alone should therefore not create a meaningful horsepower or torque change.
NO EFFECT ON FACTORY VALVE OPERATION:
Because the factory muffler and exhaust-valve assemblies remain unchanged, installing these tips does not alter Porsche's exhaust-valve operation.
The vehicle retains its normal factory exhaust-control functionality.
NO ECU TUNING REQUIRED:
The tips are installed downstream of all engine-management and emissions-related components.
No ECU calibration is required.
The tips themselves do not alter catalyst monitoring or oxygen-sensor operation.
CUSTOM CONFIGURATIONS:
SOUL indicates that custom tip configurations can be produced by request.
For customers looking for something outside the standard:
Slash Cut
Straight Cut
Signature Satin
Brushed
Satin Black
combinations, custom options should be discussed before ordering.
Product Description
The SOUL Support Brackets are purpose-built for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS models and the 911R running SOUL's complete Modular Competition Exhaust configuration.
When the factory center muffler and both factory side mufflers are removed simultaneously, the original muffler assemblies—and the exhaust support structure associated with them—are also eliminated. SOUL developed these dedicated brackets to restore proper support for the Center Muffler Bypass when it is used together with SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes.
The brackets mount from the vehicle's original factory side-muffler mounting locations to the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust, helping support the exhaust assembly while reducing vibration, movement, NVH, and unnecessary mechanical loading on the remaining exhaust connections.
Each bracket is laser cut, press-brake bent, and hand assembled, and the kit includes two Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 clamps for secure attachment.

WHY ARE THESE BRACKETS REQUIRED?
The factory 991 GT3 exhaust system uses its center and side muffler assemblies as part of the overall exhaust-support structure.
Installing only one type of bypass allows portions of that original architecture to remain.
However, when both the:
Factory Center Muffler
and
Factory Side Mufflers
are removed simultaneously, the original exhaust supports disappear with them.
Without an appropriate replacement support system, the remaining exhaust components would have to rely too heavily on:
Exhaust clamps
Pipe connections
Flex sections
Header connections
Other mounting points not intended to carry the complete load
SOUL's Support Brackets restore a dedicated mechanical load path between the chassis and the Center Muffler Bypass.
DESIGNED FOR THE MODULAR COMPETITION EXHAUST:
These brackets were developed specifically for SOUL's Modular Competition Exhaust Package.
That complete system combines:
SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust
SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes
SOUL Support Brackets
The resulting system removes all three factory muffler assemblies while maintaining proper exhaust support.
NOT NEEDED FOR CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS ALONE:
If the vehicle is running the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass while retaining the original Porsche side mufflers, the factory side-muffler mounting architecture remains in place.
In that configuration, this additional bracket kit is not required.
NOT NEEDED FOR SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS ALONE:
Likewise, when SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are installed while retaining the original Porsche center muffler, the factory center-muffler support architecture remains available.
The dedicated Modular Competition Support Brackets become necessary when the center and side mufflers are deleted together.
FACTORY MOUNTING LOCATIONS:
SOUL designed the brackets to mount from the original factory side-muffler mounting locations.
The brackets then extend inward to support the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass assembly.
Using existing chassis mounting points allows SOUL to add the necessary support without requiring permanent structural modification to the vehicle.
NVH REDUCTION:
Properly supporting an exhaust system is about more than simply preventing it from falling or moving excessively.
An inadequately supported exhaust can transmit additional:
Vibration
Resonance
Buzzing
Rattling
Mechanical noise
into the chassis and cabin.
SOUL specifically developed these brackets to help reduce NVH and in-cabin presence when running the complete Modular Competition Exhaust configuration.
EXHAUST DURABILITY:
Additional support also helps reduce mechanical loading on exhaust components.
Properly distributing the exhaust's mass can reduce stress on:
Clamp interfaces
Exhaust tubing
Welds
Flex sections
Header connections
Adjacent exhaust components
This becomes especially important during track use, where exhaust components are exposed to repeated heat cycles, vibration, chassis movement, and high-G loading.
LASER-CUT CONSTRUCTION:
Each support bracket begins as a precision laser-cut component.
Laser cutting provides repeatable bracket geometry and accurate mounting features before forming and final assembly.
PRESS-BRAKE FORMED:
After cutting, the brackets are press-brake bent into their final shape.
This manufacturing process provides controlled bends and consistent geometry while avoiding the variability associated with manually forming each component.
HAND ASSEMBLED:
SOUL then hand assembles the bracket kit before shipment.
The finished brackets are designed specifically around the mounting geometry of the 991 GT3 exhaust system and SOUL's Center Muffler Bypass.
MIKALOR SUPRA HEAVY-DUTY W4 CLAMPS:
The kit includes:
Two Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 Clamps
These clamps incorporate:
Projection-welded construction
Swinging-bridge architecture
High-strength stainless-steel bolts
Captive nut
Trunnion design
The heavy-duty clamps provide the clamping force and durability required to secure the support system to the exhaust assembly.
VALVED & NON-VALVED COMPATIBILITY:
The Support Brackets are not specific to the valve configuration.
They can be used with:
SOUL Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes
or
SOUL Non-Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes
when either system is combined with the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass.
There is therefore only one bracket SKU.
NO PERFORMANCE OR SOUND CHANGE:
The Support Brackets are structural components.
Installing them does not directly change:
Horsepower
Torque
Exhaust flow
Exhaust volume
Exhaust tone
Valve operation
Their purpose is to properly support the complete Modular Competition Exhaust and minimize unwanted movement and NVH.
EMISSIONS:
The Support Brackets do not modify any emissions-control components.
They do not alter:
Catalytic converters
Oxygen sensors
Headers
ECU programming
Exhaust-valve controls
Emissions compliance depends entirely on the exhaust components installed with them.

3-IN-1 MODULAR DESIGN:
The key advantage of this package is its ability to operate in multiple configurations.
Purchasing the complete package gives the owner:
1. Full Modular Competition Exhaust
SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes + SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust
This removes all three factory muffler assemblies for maximum weight reduction and aggressive sound.
2. Side Muffler Bypass Configuration
SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes + Factory Center Muffler
This prioritizes major weight reduction and heat management while retaining the original Porsche center muffler.
3. Center Muffler Bypass Configuration
Factory Side Mufflers + SOUL Center Muffler Bypass
This produces a more traditional GT3 center-muffler-delete sound while retaining the factory side mufflers and their associated sound-control characteristics.
The system can therefore be adjusted as the owner's track requirements, sound preferences, or driving environment change.
FULL COMPETITION CONFIGURATION:
When all components in the package are installed, the factory:
Left side muffler
Right side muffler
Center muffler
are removed.
This creates a substantially freer exhaust path and removes a large amount of mass from the rear of the vehicle.
The complete system is intended for drivers prioritizing:
Aggressive naturally aspirated sound
Major weight reduction
Reduced rear exhaust heat
Track-oriented character
Modular adjustability
PURPOSE-BUILT SUPPORT BRACKETS:
Removing both the factory side mufflers and center muffler also removes the original support architecture associated with those components.
SOUL therefore developed dedicated support brackets specifically for the complete Modular Competition Exhaust.
The brackets connect the remaining vehicle-side mounting locations to the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass and provide the structural support necessary when the original muffler assemblies are no longer installed.
The support system is also designed to help reduce:
Exhaust vibration
NVH
Unnecessary stress on the exhaust assembly
The brackets are a critical part of the complete Competition configuration rather than an optional cosmetic component.
VALVED CONFIGURATION:
The Valved Modular Competition Exhaust retains the vehicle's factory Porsche exhaust-valve control.
This provides a level of sound adjustment despite the elimination of all three factory mufflers.
With the valves closed, SOUL routes 100% of the exhaust through the smaller-diameter secondary path before it enters the expansion-chamber section of the Center Muffler Bypass.
This produces a noticeable reduction in exterior sound.
The difference is less dramatic inside the cabin because the overall exhaust system remains considerably less muffled than stock, but the factory valve control still provides meaningful flexibility.
VALVES OPEN:
With the valves open, the Valved package provides its freer-flowing performance path.
Expect:
Dramatically increased naturally aspirated flat-six sound
Stronger mechanical engine character
Greater throttle-related presence
Aggressive downshifts
Strong high-RPM wail
Race-oriented exterior volume
Much greater sound than the factory Porsche exhaust
Full use of the modular muffler-delete architecture
VALVES CLOSED:
Closing the valves redirects exhaust through SOUL's quieter secondary route.
Expect:
Noticeably lower exterior volume
Reduced harshness
More controlled exhaust character
Reduced sound during neighborhood driving
Useful sound reduction for pit-lane or track situations where applicable
Less dramatic cabin change than the exterior change
The Valved system is therefore the better configuration for customers who want the full Competition package without completely abandoning exhaust-volume control.
NON-VALVED CONFIGURATION:
The Non-Valved package eliminates valve hardware entirely.
It provides:
Permanently aggressive exhaust operation
Simplified exhaust architecture
Minimum possible package weight
Approximately 3 lbs greater weight savings than the Valved system
No quiet mode
No factory PSE adjustment
Constant performance-oriented sound
SOUL includes plugs for the unused vacuum lines when the Non-Valved configuration is selected.
WEIGHT SAVINGS:
The Modular Competition Exhaust provides some of the largest exhaust-related weight savings available for the 991 GT3 platform.
Valved Configuration:
Approximately 46 lbs of weight savings
Non-Valved Configuration:
Approximately 49 lbs of weight savings
The Non-Valved configuration therefore saves approximately:
3 additional pounds
compared with the Valved package.
Because the removed components sit at the extreme rear of the vehicle, the reduction is especially valuable on the rear-engined 911 platform.
HEAT MANAGEMENT:
Removing the factory side mufflers eliminates two large heat-retaining components surrounding the rear of the vehicle.
SOUL specifically developed the Side Muffler Bypass architecture to help:
Reduce engine-bay heat soak
Reduce exhaust-system thermal mass
Reduce heat exposure toward the rear tires
Improve thermal recovery between track sessions
This makes the package particularly attractive for cars subjected to extended high-load driving.
REASONABLE CABIN PRESENCE:
A complete center- and side-muffler-delete system could easily become objectionable inside the cabin if acoustic behavior were ignored.
SOUL specifically developed the Center Muffler Bypass's expansion-chamber design to reduce:
Drone
Vibration
Low-frequency cabin resonance
SOUL describes the resulting package as having unusually reasonable cabin presence for such an aggressive straight-through GT3 exhaust configuration.
This does not mean the system is quiet.
The Modular Competition Exhaust is an aggressive system, but it is designed to avoid simply maximizing every undesirable frequency along with overall volume.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Expect:
Dramatically increased flat-six presence
Greater mechanical engine sound
Aggressive idle and low-RPM character
Increased throttle-related sound
Stronger downshift presence
Increased race-derived tone
Much greater high-RPM intensity
Naturally aspirated GT3 wail approaching redline
Significantly increased exterior volume
The exact sound character can be changed by taking advantage of the system's modularity and reinstalling either the factory center or factory side mufflers.
MODULAR SOUND ADJUSTMENT:
If the complete package becomes too aggressive for a particular track, street environment, or trip, the owner is not locked into the full muffler-delete configuration.
The modular architecture allows the factory:
Center Muffler
or
Side Mufflers
to be reintroduced.
This lets the owner experiment with different combinations of:
Sound volume
Exhaust tone
Weight
Cabin presence
Valve behavior
without purchasing another complete exhaust system.
WITH FACTORY CENTER MUFFLER:
Reinstalling the factory center muffler while retaining the SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes provides:
Major side-muffler weight reduction
Reduced rear heat
Retained factory center-muffler attenuation
More exotic and controlled exhaust tone
Reduced overall volume compared with the full Competition configuration
The Valved Side Muffler Bypass version also retains factory valve functionality in this arrangement.
WITH FACTORY SIDE MUFFLERS:
Reinstalling the original Porsche side mufflers while retaining the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass provides:
Approximately 11 lbs of center-muffler weight reduction
Deeper and more aggressive exhaust sound
Factory side-muffler attenuation
Factory valve functionality where applicable
Greater sound control than the complete Non-Valved Competition configuration
FACTORY PSE CONTROL:
When the Valved package is selected, SOUL retains the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust control functionality.
The existing PSE control continues commanding the exhaust valves.
No separate aftermarket valve controller is required for the Valved package.
The Non-Valved package does not retain this functionality.
EXHAUST TIP FITMENT:
The Modular Competition Exhaust uses interchangeable 4-inch single-wall exhaust tips.
Two styles are available:
4" Slash Cut Single Wall
An angled outlet for a more aggressive appearance.
4" Straight Cut Single Wall
A traditional straight-cut circular outlet.
Each is offered in:
Signature Satin
Brushed
Satin Black
SOUL accounts for the difference in bumper depth between the 991.1 and 991.2 chassis when supplying the appropriate tip configuration.
991.1 VS. 991.2 TIP LENGTH:
The 991.2 rear bumper has a different depth than the 991.1.
SOUL therefore uses longer exhaust tips for 991.2 applications to position the outlets correctly relative to the bumper.
Customers should provide the correct vehicle generation when ordering so the appropriate tip configuration is supplied.
DIRECT BOLT-ON INSTALLATION:
SOUL designed the package as a bolt-on system.
Installation requires:
Removal of the factory center muffler
Removal of both factory side mufflers
Installation of the SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes
Installation of the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust
Installation of the dedicated support brackets
Installation and alignment of the selected exhaust tips
There is:
No cutting
No welding
No permanent modification to the vehicle
SOUL describes installation as straightforward enough for experienced DIY enthusiasts.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
The Modular Competition Exhaust is installed downstream of the factory oxygen sensors.
With factory header architecture retained, the oxygen sensors remain in the headers and are not affected by removal of the center and side mufflers.
SOUL states that no check engine lights are associated with this system.
The package itself therefore does not require ECU calibration simply for installation.
This should not be confused with installing separate catless Competition Headers, which introduces different emissions and diagnostic considerations.
WITH SOUL STREET HEADERS:
Pairing the Modular Competition Exhaust with SOUL Street Headers creates an extremely aggressive catted complete exhaust configuration.
This combines:
High-flow performance catalysts
Upgraded header architecture
Complete center- and side-muffler bypass
Major rear weight reduction
Strong naturally aspirated sound
Modular exhaust configuration
WITH SOUL COMPETITION HEADERS:
Pairing the package with SOUL Competition Headers creates one of the most aggressive exhaust configurations available for the platform.
This combination removes:
Factory catalytic converters
Factory side mufflers
Factory center muffler
and provides:
Maximum exhaust flow
Maximum exhaust sound
Major exhaust-system weight reduction
Track-oriented engine character
Reduced rear exhaust heat
Applicable ECU calibration and emissions considerations should be addressed separately when using catless headers.
PERFORMANCE:
The Modular Competition Exhaust reduces downstream exhaust restriction and substantially decreases vehicle mass.
However, SOUL does not publish a controlled standalone horsepower or torque gain for this package.
The primary verified benefits are:
Approximately 46–49 lbs of weight savings
Increased exhaust flow
Increased naturally aspirated sound
Reduced rear heat retention
Modular sound adjustment
Optional factory valve functionality
EMISSIONS NOTE:
When used with the original Porsche headers and catalytic converters, the Modular Competition Exhaust does not remove the vehicle's factory catalyst assemblies or oxygen sensors.
The package modifies exhaust components downstream of the emissions-control hardware.
Customers using separate aftermarket headers or catalyst-delete components are responsible for determining the emissions compliance of their complete vehicle configuration.
Porsche 991.1 / 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS / 911R SOUL Competition Headers
$5,495.00
Product Description
The SOUL Competition Headers are a complete catless long-tube header system engineered for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS models, the 911R, and the 991.2 GT3 Cup.
SOUL replaces the restrictive factory header and catalytic-converter assemblies with long-tube runners, smooth-radius large-diameter bends, billet CNC-machined head flanges, and purpose-built billet merge collectors with merge spikes. The system is designed to improve exhaust scavenging, throttle response, high-RPM breathing, and naturally aspirated flat-six sound while eliminating the restriction created by the factory catalytic converters.
Unlike a conventional fabricated or slip-on collector, SOUL machines its merge collector from billet stainless steel. This allows optimized internal geometry, increased primary-runner length, fewer welded joints, and a leak-resistant connection designed for repeated hard track use.
Independent Dynojet testing on an otherwise stock 991.2 GT3 RS showed gains throughout the upper power band, including approximately +24.4 whp at 8,400 RPM and maximum torque improvements exceeding 26 lb-ft.

CATLESS LONG-TUBE DESIGN:
The factory GT3 exhaust manifolds must satisfy requirements beyond outright performance, including:
Emissions compliance
Catalyst packaging
Noise regulations
Mass-production requirements
Manufacturing cost
Durability targets
These compromises restrict primary-runner length, runner diameter, and collector geometry.
SOUL's Competition Headers remove the factory catalytic converters entirely and allow the header architecture to be optimized around exhaust flow and naturally aspirated engine performance.
LONG-TUBE PRIMARY RUNNERS:
Primary-runner length and geometry directly influence exhaust-pulse behavior.
Longer, smoother runners can improve the way pressure waves travel from the exhaust ports toward the collector.
SOUL's design targets improvements in:
Exhaust scavenging
Cylinder evacuation
Exhaust-gas velocity
Throttle response
Midrange performance
High-RPM breathing
This is particularly important on Porsche's high-revving GT engines, where exhaust-flow demand becomes substantial as engine speed approaches redline.
BILLET CNC-MACHINED MERGE COLLECTORS:
A major engineering feature of the Competition Headers is SOUL's billet merge collector.
Rather than using a conventional slip-fit or fabricated collector, SOUL designed the collector digitally and machines it for a precise, repeatable internal geometry.
The billet collector allows:
Longer effective primary runners
Controlled runner convergence
Integrated merge spikes
Smoother exhaust-pulse interaction
Fewer welded joints
Reduced possibility of collector leakage
Greater structural durability
The collector architecture is designed as an integral component of the complete header rather than simply a junction between several tubes.
MERGE SPIKES:
SOUL incorporates merge spikes into the collector.
The merge spike helps guide individual exhaust streams as the primary runners converge, reducing the abrupt collision of exhaust pulses inside the collector.
This is intended to improve:
Exhaust-flow quality
Scavenging
Gas velocity
Throttle response
High-RPM efficiency
BILLET 304L HEAD FLANGES:
The transition between the cylinder-head exhaust ports and the primary runners is another important restriction point.
SOUL uses billet 304L stainless-steel head flanges precision machined on 5-axis CNC equipment.
The billet design provides:
Improved exhaust-port transition
Accurate primary-runner alignment
Greater structural strength
Improved sealing consistency
Increased durability under repeated thermal cycling
SOUL specifically designed the flange area to resist cracking during repeated aggressive track use.
.065-INCH T304L STAINLESS CONSTRUCTION:
The primary tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent:
.065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel
SOUL back-purges each assembly during TIG welding to protect the inside of the weld and promote proper penetration.
The construction is intended to provide a balance of:
Strength
Heat resistance
Corrosion resistance
Long-term track durability
Fabrication consistency
DYNO-PROVEN PERFORMANCE:
SOUL independently tested the Competition Headers on a Dynojet using an AutoQuest Motorsport Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS.
Importantly, SOUL states that the before-and-after testing was performed with no other modifications.
The manufacturer reports gains of approximately:
+20.9 wheel horsepower
and
+26.2 lb-ft of torque
appearing early in the measured power curve.
At approximately:
8,400 RPM
SOUL recorded approximately:
+24.4 wheel horsepower
and
+15.3 lb-ft of torque
The headers therefore produced increased power throughout the upper power band rather than simply generating a short isolated peak.
SOUL summarizes the testing as providing maximum gains exceeding approximately:
+24 wheel horsepower
and
+26 lb-ft of torque
TESTED ON A 991.2 GT3 RS:
The published dyno results were obtained specifically on a:
Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS
with no other modifications during the before-and-after comparison.
Actual gains can vary based on:
Engine version
Vehicle condition
Fuel
ECU calibration
Downstream exhaust configuration
Ambient and dyno conditions
The published figures should therefore be understood as manufacturer test results rather than guaranteed output for every 991 GT3-family application.
ECU TUNING:
SOUL notes that an appropriate ECU calibration can take additional advantage of the increased exhaust flow and unlock further gains.
A tune can also be used to address catalyst-related diagnostic faults created by removing the factory catalytic converters.
An ECU tune is not required for the headers to physically bolt onto the vehicle, but SOUL recommends custom calibration for track applications where catalyst-related check engine lights need to be disabled.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
Because the Competition Headers completely remove the factory catalytic converters, SOUL states that the system may trigger a check engine light.
The vehicle's catalyst-monitoring strategy may recognize that the factory emissions equipment is no longer present.
SOUL recommends an appropriate custom ECU calibration to address these catalyst-related diagnostic faults for closed-course use.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Removing the factory catalytic converters and replacing the original manifolds with long-tube headers substantially changes the sound reaching the downstream exhaust.
Expect:
Greater naturally aspirated flat-six volume
Sharper throttle-related sound
Increased mechanical engine character
Stronger midrange tone
Greater high-RPM intensity
More aggressive downshifts
Increased race-derived character
More pronounced flat-six wail approaching redline
The final volume depends heavily on the downstream exhaust configuration.
WITH FACTORY REAR EXHAUST:
The Competition Headers can be paired with the original Porsche rear exhaust.
This retains the factory:
Center muffler
Side mufflers
Exhaust valves
while replacing the restrictive catalytic header assemblies upstream.
This configuration provides a substantial increase in exhaust flow and sound while retaining Porsche's downstream sound-control hardware.
WITH SOUL CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS:
Combining the Competition Headers with SOUL's Center Muffler Bypass creates a significantly more aggressive exhaust system.
This configuration:
Removes the factory catalysts
Removes the factory center muffler
Retains the factory side mufflers
Retains factory exhaust-valve functionality
Produces substantially greater flat-six sound
Further reduces rear exhaust-system weight
WITH SOUL VALVED SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS:
Pairing the Competition Headers with SOUL's Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes provides:
Catless long-tube headers
3-inch side-muffler bypass piping
Factory center muffler retained
Factory exhaust-valve functionality retained
Significant rear weight reduction
Reduced exhaust heat around the engine bay and rear tires
Substantially increased exhaust flow
This provides an aggressive configuration while retaining driver-selectable sound control.
WITH SOUL NON-VALVED SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS:
Pairing the Competition Headers with the non-valved Side Muffler Bypass creates an even more track-focused configuration.
This combination eliminates:
Factory catalytic converters
Factory side mufflers
while retaining the factory center muffler.
The result prioritizes:
Maximum weight reduction
Increased exhaust flow
Reduced heat retention
Constant aggressive exhaust character
OPTIONAL CERAMIC COATING:
SOUL offers optional Jet-Hot ceramic coating for the Competition Headers by special order.
Available coating systems include:
Extreme 1300
and
Ultra Extreme Heat 2500
SOUL states that the coatings can reduce surrounding temperatures by as much as approximately 65% while also helping protect the headers from thermal oxidation and corrosion.
Ceramic coating is available at additional cost and should be quoted separately.

$1,495.00
Product Description
The SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are a lightweight, non-valved exhaust upgrade for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS models and the 911R, replacing the heavy factory side mufflers with large-diameter 3-inch stainless-steel bypass pipes while retaining the factory center muffler.
The factory side-muffler assemblies weigh approximately 44.9 lbs, while the complete SOUL bypass system weighs only approximately 6.6 lbs, removing an impressive 38.3 lbs / 17.3 kg from the rear of the vehicle.
In addition to the substantial weight reduction, deleting the side mufflers reduces heat retention around the engine bay and rear tires. Large-diameter 3-inch piping increases exhaust flow, while integrated flex bellows provide compliance for thermal expansion and aggressive track use.
Unlike SOUL's Valved Side Muffler Bypass, this system is permanently non-valved. There is no selectable quiet mode—the exhaust delivers its freer-flowing, race-derived character at all times.

WHY DELETE THE SIDE MUFFLERS?
The factory GT3 exhaust uses substantial side-muffler assemblies that contribute considerable weight and retain heat in the rear of the vehicle.
SOUL replaces those components with compact 3-inch stainless-steel bypass pipes.
The result is a significant reduction in:
Exhaust-system weight
Rear vehicle mass
Engine-bay heat retention
Heat accumulation near the rear tires
while retaining the factory center muffler to help control overall sound character.
38.3-LB WEIGHT REDUCTION:
Weight savings are one of the primary reasons to choose the non-valved Side Muffler Bypass.
Factory Side-Muffler Components:
Approximately 44.9 lbs / 20.4 kg
SOUL Side Muffler Bypass Pipes:
Approximately 6.6 lbs / 3.0 kg
Total Weight Savings:
Approximately 38.3 lbs / 17.3 kg
This removes nearly 40 lbs from the extreme rear of a rear-engined 911 without requiring replacement of the factory headers or center muffler.
HEAT MANAGEMENT:
Factory mufflers retain considerable thermal energy after extended high-load operation.
Removing the large side mufflers reduces the amount of hot exhaust hardware surrounding the rear of the vehicle.
SOUL specifically identifies two benefits:
Reduced engine-bay heat soak
Reduced heat exposure around the rear tires
These benefits become increasingly relevant during repeated track sessions where exhaust temperatures remain elevated for extended periods.
3-INCH PRIMARY PIPING:
The Side Muffler Bypass uses:
3-inch-diameter primary piping
constructed from:
.065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel
The larger-diameter path reduces the restriction created by the original side-muffler assemblies and provides substantial exhaust-flow capacity for the naturally aspirated GT engine.
RETAINS THE FACTORY CENTER MUFFLER:
This system removes the side mufflers, not the center muffler.
The original Porsche center muffler remains installed and continues to contribute acoustic attenuation.
This creates a fundamentally different sound character than a Center Muffler Bypass.
The configuration combines:
Lightweight side-muffler deletion
Increased exhaust flow
Reduced rear heat
Retained center-muffler sound control
Permanently non-valved operation
NON-VALVED DESIGN:
Unlike SOUL's Valved Side Muffler Bypass, this version eliminates the exhaust-valve functionality associated with the side-muffler assemblies.
There is:
No electronic or vacuum-controlled exhaust valve
No driver-selectable quiet mode
No factory valves-open / valves-closed transition
No additional valve hardware
The system provides its performance-oriented exhaust path continuously.
This makes the non-valved version particularly attractive for customers prioritizing:
Minimum weight
Simplicity
Maximum consistency
Track use
Constant exhaust character
SOUND CHARACTER:
SOUL describes the Side Muffler Bypass as increasing overall volume without introducing undesirable tonal characteristics.
Expect:
Increased naturally aspirated flat-six presence
Greater cabin sound
More race-derived exhaust character
More exotic tone
Increased mechanical character
Stronger high-RPM sound
Particularly dramatic exhaust character above 5,000 RPM
SOUL specifically notes increased cabin presence in approximately the:
2,000–3,000 RPM range
Above approximately:
5,000 RPM
the system increasingly emphasizes the GT engine's high-RPM exhaust character.
CABIN PRESENCE:
Because this is a permanently non-valved system, customers should expect more exhaust presence inside the vehicle than with the factory exhaust or SOUL's valved version.
SOUL specifically identifies increased cabin presence around:
2,000–3,000 RPM
This is an important consideration for vehicles primarily used for long-distance street driving.
Drivers who want the ability to substantially reduce exhaust presence on demand should consider the Valved Side Muffler Bypass instead.
CENTER-MUFFLER PRESSURE MANAGEMENT:
The SOUL bypass pipes retain a secondary flow path into the factory center muffler.
SOUL enlarges the opening leading into this secondary section to help equalize pressure within the center muffler.
This is designed to:
Improve pressure distribution
Reduce localized loading
Reduce stress on the factory center muffler
Lower the likelihood of center-muffler cracking
This is particularly important because removing the factory side mufflers substantially changes the exhaust-flow architecture upstream of the retained center muffler.
FLEX BELLOWS:
High-quality flex bellows are incorporated into the bypass pipes.
The flex sections provide compliance for:
Thermal expansion
Engine movement
Exhaust-system movement
Manufacturing tolerances
Chassis movement
Repeated track heat cycles
SOUL specifically incorporates the bellows to simplify installation and help prevent cracking under extreme racing conditions.
SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS VS. VALVED SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS:
Non-Valved Side Muffler Bypass
$1,495.00
Permanently non-valved
Approximately 6.6 lbs
Approximately 38.3 lbs lighter than factory
3-inch primary piping
Maximum simplicity
Lowest weight
Constant performance exhaust character
No quiet mode
Valved Side Muffler Bypass
$2,095.00
Retains selectable exhaust-valve functionality
Approximately 9.5 lbs
Approximately 35.4 lbs lighter than factory
3-inch primary piping
Allows quieter and louder operating modes
Better suited to customers wanting additional street flexibility
The non-valved system saves an additional 2.9 lbs compared with the Valved Side Muffler Bypass while eliminating the exhaust-valve hardware entirely.
SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS VS. CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS:
Side Muffler Bypass
Removes both factory side mufflers
Retains the factory center muffler
Approximately 38.3 lbs of weight savings
Major reduction in rear exhaust heat
3-inch performance piping
More exotic / race-derived sound character
Permanently non-valved
Center Muffler Bypass
Removes the factory center muffler
Retains factory side mufflers
Retains factory exhaust valves
Approximately 11 lbs of weight savings
More dramatic driver-controlled sound change
Better sound-control flexibility
Customers primarily focused on weight reduction and heat management will gain considerably more from the Side Muffler Bypass.
WITH FACTORY HEADERS:
When paired with the original Porsche headers, the vehicle retains its factory:
Catalytic converters
Oxygen sensors
Header assemblies
while replacing only the side-muffler assemblies.
This configuration provides:
Major weight reduction
Reduced rear exhaust heat
Increased exhaust flow
Increased sound
Retained factory center muffler
WITH UPGRADED HEADERS:
The Side Muffler Bypass can also form part of a more aggressive exhaust configuration using higher-flowing aftermarket headers.
Changing the headers can substantially increase:
Overall exhaust volume
High-RPM intensity
Exhaust-flow capability
Engine character
Track-oriented sound
Customers should confirm compatibility with the specific header and oxygen-sensor configuration being used.
DIRECT BOLT-ON INSTALLATION:
The Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory side mufflers.
SOUL specifically states that installation requires:
No cutting
No modification
Each assembly is built and tested in a fixture to ensure proper fitment before being packaged for shipment.
PERFORMANCE:
The combination of large 3-inch piping and elimination of the factory side mufflers increases available exhaust-flow capacity.
SOUL does not publish a controlled standalone horsepower or torque figure for these Side Muffler Bypass Pipes.
DasMotoring therefore does not advertise a specific power gain.
The primary verified benefits are:
38.3 lbs of weight reduction
Reduced engine-bay heat soak
Reduced rear-tire heat exposure
Increased exhaust flow
Increased exhaust sound
EXHAUST TIPS:
This standalone product does not require a tip selection.
The Side Muffler Bypass Pipes replace the side-muffler section while retaining the factory center-exhaust architecture.
There are therefore no:
Tip-style variants
Tip-finish variants
Catalyst variants
Valve variants within this product
EMISSIONS / USE NOTE:
SOUL specifies that this product is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles.
SOUL lists the product as intended for off-road use only.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations before installation or use.

WHY DELETE THE SIDE MUFFLERS?
The factory GT3 exhaust incorporates:
Headers
Side mufflers
Center muffler
The side mufflers contribute significant weight and retain considerable heat near the rear of the vehicle.
SOUL removes these large factory side-muffler assemblies and replaces them with compact, freer-flowing stainless-steel bypass pipes.
The result is a dramatic reduction in:
Exhaust-system weight
Exhaust heat retention
Engine-bay heat soak
Heat exposure around the rear of the vehicle
while retaining the factory center muffler to provide meaningful sound control.
35.4-LB WEIGHT REDUCTION:
The weight savings are one of the most significant advantages of this system.
Factory Side-Muffler Components:
Approximately 44.9 lbs
SOUL Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes:
Approximately 9.5 lbs
Weight Savings:
Approximately 35.4 lbs / 16 kg
That represents nearly an 79% reduction in the weight of the components being replaced.
Because this mass is located at the extreme rear of the vehicle, the reduction is particularly attractive on a rear-engined 911.
HEAT MANAGEMENT:
The factory side mufflers retain considerable heat within the rear of the vehicle.
Removing them reduces the amount of hot exhaust hardware surrounding:
The engine bay
Rear suspension area
Rear tires
SOUL specifically highlights improved heat management as one of the major benefits of the Side Muffler Bypass design.
This becomes particularly relevant during repeated track sessions where heat accumulation can become substantial.
3-INCH PRIMARY PIPING:
The Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes use large:
3-inch primary tubing
to increase available exhaust flow compared with the factory side-muffler architecture.
The system is built from:
T304L stainless steel
with:
.065-inch wall thickness
This provides a balance of durability, heat resistance, and relatively low weight.
RETAINS THE FACTORY CENTER MUFFLER:
Unlike SOUL's Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust, this system removes the side mufflers while retaining the original Porsche center muffler.
That difference fundamentally changes the sound character.
The retained factory center muffler continues to provide:
Acoustic attenuation
Reduced cabin resonance
Meaningful valves-closed refinement
A smoother overall sound transition
This makes the Valved Side Muffler Bypass a particularly appealing option for owners prioritizing weight reduction and heat management without turning the car into a permanently extreme exhaust setup.
VALVES CLOSED:
With the exhaust valves closed, gases are routed through the smaller secondary path and into the more restrictive portion of the factory center muffler.
SOUL enlarged the opening into this secondary path to help equalize internal pressure in the center muffler.
With the valves closed, expect:
Moderate increase in exhaust volume compared with stock
Comfortable cruising characteristics
Relatively restrained cabin presence
Retention of the factory center muffler's sound attenuation
Smoother sound transition than a Center Muffler Bypass configuration
Greater exhaust character without excessive volume
VALVES OPEN:
As the factory exhaust valves open, exhaust gains access to the freer-flowing 3-inch primary path.
Expect:
Greater exhaust flow
Increased overall volume
Smoother and more exotic exhaust tone
Greater naturally aspirated flat-six presence
Stronger high-RPM character
More aggressive downshifts
More pronounced burbles
Refined race-derived pitch rather than simply additional bass
SOUL specifically describes the valves-open sound as having a more exotic character appropriate for the GT3 engine.
SMOOTHER VALVE TRANSITION:
One of the most important sound differences between a Side Muffler Bypass and a Center Muffler Bypass is how dramatically the sound changes when the valves open.
With a Center Muffler Bypass, the difference between valves closed and open can be very pronounced.
With the Valved Side Muffler Bypass:
The valves-closed configuration is somewhat louder than a Center Muffler Bypass setup
The valves-open configuration is somewhat less aggressive than a Center Muffler Bypass
The transition between the two modes is noticeably smoother
This produces a more progressive change in sound as the factory valves operate.
SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS VS. CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS:
Valved Side Muffler Bypass
$2,095.00
Removes factory side mufflers
Retains factory center muffler
Retains factory exhaust valves
3-inch primary piping
Approximately 35.4 lbs lighter than factory side-muffler components
Greater heat reduction
Smoother, more exotic exhaust tone
Smoother transition between valves closed and open
Slightly louder with valves closed
Slightly quieter with valves open compared with a Center Muffler Bypass
Center Muffler Bypass
Removes factory center muffler
Retains factory side mufflers
Retains factory valves
Approximately 11 lbs lighter than factory
Deeper and more aggressive sound
More dramatic valve-open transition
Quieter valves-closed behavior
Louder valves-open character
The Valved Side Muffler Bypass is the stronger choice when weight reduction and heat management are major priorities.
VALVED VS. NON-VALVED SIDE MUFFLER BYPASS:
SOUL also offers a non-valved Side Muffler Bypass.
Valved Side Muffler Bypass
Retains factory valve functionality
Approximately 9.5 lbs
Saves approximately 35.4 lbs
Allows quieter and louder operating modes
Better suited to mixed street and track use
Non-Valved Side Muffler Bypass
Permanently unrestricted
Approximately 6.6 lbs
Saves approximately 38.3 lbs
Approximately 2.9 lbs lighter than the valved version
No exhaust-volume control
More track-focused configuration
The valved system sacrifices only about 3 lbs relative to the non-valved version while retaining factory sound control.
FLEX BELLOWS:
SOUL incorporates high-quality flex bellows into the bypass pipes.
The bellows provide additional compliance between exhaust components, helping compensate for:
Manufacturing tolerances
Thermal expansion
Engine movement
Chassis movement
Repeated track-induced heat cycles
SOUL notes that this approach mirrors the durability philosophy used by OEM exhaust systems.
CENTER-MUFFLER PRESSURE MANAGEMENT:
SOUL enlarges the opening leading into the secondary center-muffler path.
The goal is to help:
Equalize pressure within the center muffler
Distribute exhaust flow more effectively
Reduce localized stress
Promote factory center-muffler longevity
This is particularly relevant because the side-muffler bypass substantially changes how exhaust gases enter the retained factory center muffler.
DIRECT BOLT-ON INSTALLATION:
The Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are designed for straightforward installation.
There is:
No cutting
No welding
No permanent exhaust modification
No ECU programming required for the bypass pipes themselves
Each system is built and tested in a dedicated fixture before shipment to ensure consistent fitment.
OPTIONAL O2 SENSOR BUNGS:
SOUL does not install oxygen-sensor bungs in the Side Muffler Bypass Pipes by default.
This keeps the system as simple and lightweight as possible.
However, optional O2 bungs can be added for vehicles using aftermarket headers that relocate oxygen sensors into the side-muffler section.
Customers running such a header configuration should confirm their oxygen-sensor arrangement before ordering.
WITH FACTORY HEADERS:
With factory Porsche headers retained, the oxygen sensors remain in their original locations and the optional side-bypass O2 bungs are generally unnecessary.
This configuration provides:
Major weight reduction
Improved heat management
Increased exhaust sound
Retained factory catalysts
Retained factory center muffler
Retained valve functionality
WITH AFTERMARKET HEADERS:
The bypass pipes can also be paired with upgraded headers.
If those headers relocate the oxygen sensors downstream into the side-muffler section, SOUL can add the required O2 bungs to the bypass pipes.
This should be determined before the parts are manufactured and shipped.
PERFORMANCE:
The large 3-inch primary piping and removal of the restrictive side-muffler assemblies increase available exhaust flow.
However, SOUL does not publish a verified standalone horsepower or torque gain for the Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes.
The primary manufacturer-documented benefits are:
35.4-lb weight reduction
Reduced heat soak
Increased exhaust flow
Increased sound
Retained factory valve functionality
EXHAUST TIPS:
This product does not include or require a separate exhaust-tip option.
The Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes replace the side-muffler assemblies while retaining the factory center-muffler / center-exit architecture.
There are therefore no tip style or finish variants associated with this standalone product.
EMISSIONS NOTE:
The Side Muffler Bypass Pipes themselves do not remove the factory catalytic converters when used with the original Porsche headers.
If the system is paired with aftermarket headers that alter or remove factory catalyst components, emissions compliance will depend on the complete exhaust configuration.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with applicable regulations for their vehicle.
Porsche 991.1 / 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS / 911R SOUL Street Headers
$6,495.00
Product Description
The SOUL Street Headers are designed for the Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 platform, replacing the restrictive factory header assemblies with a freer-flowing catted system engineered to improve power potential, throttle response, exhaust flow, and the sound of Porsche's high-revving naturally aspirated flat-six.
Even Porsche's GT3 exhaust system must balance performance against emissions requirements, packaging limitations, durability targets, and noise regulations. These constraints limit primary-runner length, runner diameter, and collector efficiency.
SOUL addresses these compromises with optimized runners, large-diameter free-flowing catalytic converters, and precision-machined billet stainless-steel head flanges and merge collectors.
The result is a more efficient exhaust path directly downstream of the cylinder heads, amplifying the character of whichever factory or aftermarket exhaust system is installed behind it while maintaining a catted configuration.

WHY UPGRADE THE FACTORY HEADERS?
The GT3's factory exhaust is exceptionally capable, but Porsche still has to design the system around requirements extending beyond maximum performance.
Those compromises affect:
Primary-runner length
Primary-runner diameter
Collector geometry
Catalyst packaging
Exhaust-flow capacity
Sound
SOUL identifies the factory headers as one of the first areas to address when increasing exhaust performance on the 991 GT3 platform.
The Street Headers replace this section while preserving catalytic converters for a more street-oriented configuration than SOUL's Competition Headers.
OPTIMIZED RUNNER DESIGN:
The individual runners are designed to provide a more efficient path from each exhaust port into the collector.
Runner geometry plays an important role in naturally aspirated engine performance because exhaust pulses influence cylinder evacuation and scavenging.
A properly designed header can improve:
Exhaust-gas velocity
Exhaust scavenging
Cylinder evacuation
Throttle response
Midrange performance
High-RPM breathing
This becomes especially important on Porsche's high-revving GT engines, where exhaust-flow demand increases dramatically toward the upper end of the tachometer.
LARGE-DIAMETER PERFORMANCE CATALYSTS:
Unlike SOUL's Competition Headers, the Street Headers retain catalytic converters.
The headers are built around large-diameter, free-flowing performance catalysts intended to reduce restriction compared with the original Porsche assemblies.
This provides a balance between:
Improved exhaust flow
Increased performance potential
Greater exhaust character
Catted operation
SOUL's current product page does not specify a catalyst cell count, so DasMotoring does not advertise one for this product.
BILLET 304L HEAD FLANGES:
SOUL uses billet 304L stainless steel for the cylinder-head flanges.
These components are precision machined using 5-axis CNC equipment.
The billet flange design provides:
Accurate exhaust-port transitions
Precise runner alignment
Increased strength
Improved durability under repeated heat cycling
Reduced likelihood of cracking in a high-stress area
This is particularly relevant for GT3s subjected to frequent track use, where the exhaust repeatedly cycles through extreme temperatures.
CNC-MACHINED MERGE COLLECTORS:
The individual runners converge through precision-machined 304L stainless-steel merge collectors.
Rather than treating the collector simply as a junction between several tubes, SOUL optimizes the transition for exhaust flow and durability.
The merge collector influences:
Exhaust-pulse convergence
Gas velocity
Scavenging
Throttle response
High-RPM breathing
Exhaust sound
Using precision-machined components allows the geometry to remain highly consistent between header sets.
.065-INCH T304L STAINLESS CONSTRUCTION:
The header runners are manufactured from mandrel-bent:
.065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel
This construction is intended to balance:
Strength
Heat resistance
Exhaust durability
Long-term corrosion resistance
Fabrication consistency
The headers are back-purged during TIG welding to protect the inside of the welds and promote proper penetration.
BUILT FOR TRACK USE:
SOUL specifically emphasizes durability in demanding environments.
The headers use:
Billet stainless head flanges
Billet stainless merge collectors
Thick-wall stainless tubing
Back-purged TIG welding
Heavy-duty fabrication fixtures
SOUL's thick-gauge aluminum fixtures also act as heat sinks during fabrication, helping prevent warpage while maintaining consistent alignment.
This construction is intended to withstand repeated hard use and aggressive heat cycling.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Replacing the restrictive factory header assemblies allows more of the GT engine's natural exhaust character to reach the remainder of the exhaust system.
Expect:
Greater flat-six presence
Sharper throttle-related sound
Increased mechanical character
Stronger midrange exhaust tone
Greater high-RPM intensity
More pronounced naturally aspirated wail approaching redline
Amplification of the characteristics of the downstream exhaust system
The final volume will depend heavily on whether the vehicle retains its factory center muffler and side mufflers or uses additional aftermarket exhaust components.
WITH FACTORY REAR EXHAUST:
The Street Headers can be used while retaining the factory Porsche rear exhaust system.
This configuration provides:
Improved upstream exhaust flow
Performance catalytic converters
Increased throttle response
Stronger engine character
Retention of the original Porsche rear mufflers
Retention of factory exhaust-valve functionality
This makes the Street Headers a logical first-stage exhaust upgrade for customers who want improved performance without immediately replacing every downstream exhaust component.
WITH SOUL CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS:
Pairing the Street Headers with SOUL's Center Muffler Bypass produces a considerably more aggressive configuration.
This combination retains:
Catted headers
Factory side mufflers
Factory exhaust valves
while replacing the large factory center muffler.
Expect significantly more naturally aspirated sound while still retaining useful factory valve control.
WITH SOUL SIDE MUFFLER UPGRADES:
Further changes to the side mufflers can dramatically increase overall sound.
The Street Headers amplify whichever exhaust configuration is installed behind them, so customers should consider the complete system when selecting how aggressive they want the vehicle to become.
A car with Street Headers and otherwise factory exhaust will behave very differently from one using Street Headers plus center- and side-muffler bypass components.
STREET HEADERS VS. COMPETITION HEADERS:
Street Headers
$6,495.00
Retain performance catalytic converters
More street-oriented configuration
Increased exhaust flow
Increased throttle response
Greater naturally aspirated sound
Billet CNC-machined flanges and collectors
Suitable for aggressive street and track use
Competition Headers
Completely catless
Maximum available header flow
Greater exhaust sound
Lower purchase price
Greater emissions and diagnostic considerations
More competition-focused configuration
The Street Headers are the appropriate choice for customers seeking a freer-flowing header system while retaining catalytic converters.
PERFORMANCE:
SOUL describes the Street Headers as providing gains in:
Power
Throttle response
Exhaust flow
Exhaust tone
However, the current manufacturer product page does not publish a standalone horsepower or torque figure for this header set.
DasMotoring therefore does not advertise a specific numerical power increase.
WEIGHT:
SOUL does not currently publish verified factory and aftermarket weights for the 991 GT3 Street Headers.
No specific weight-savings figure should therefore be assumed.
ECU CALIBRATION / CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
The current SOUL product page does not specify that ECU calibration is required for installation.
It also does not provide an unconditional no-CEL guarantee.
Because the factory catalyst assemblies are replaced with aftermarket performance catalytic converters, diagnostic behavior can depend on vehicle specification, calibration, catalyst condition, oxygen-sensor condition, and other modifications.
DasMotoring therefore does not advertise either a guaranteed no-CEL condition or a mandatory tuning requirement for this product.
EMISSIONS NOTE:
The SOUL Street Headers retain catalytic converters but replace the vehicle's original Porsche emissions-related exhaust assemblies with aftermarket performance components.
They are not CARB certified.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations before installation or use.
Product Description
The SOUL Center Muffler Bypass Exhaust is a direct bolt-on upgrade for Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS models and the 911R, replacing the heavy factory center muffler with a freer-flowing T304L stainless-steel exhaust section while retaining the factory side mufflers and exhaust-valve functionality.
By removing the center muffler, the system releases substantially more of the naturally aspirated flat-six soundtrack without eliminating the factory car's ability to control exhaust volume. The original side mufflers and valves remain functional, allowing the driver to retain the factory Sport / exhaust-valve controls for quieter cruising.
The result is a deeper, more aggressive tone at lower engine speeds that builds into the characteristic high-RPM GT3 wail as the engine approaches redline.
The SOUL Center Muffler Bypass also removes approximately 11 lbs from the rear of the vehicle, making it a simple way to increase sound, reduce weight, and improve exhaust flow without replacing the headers, catalytic converters, or complete exhaust system.

RETAINS FACTORY SIDE MUFFLERS:
The Center Muffler Bypass replaces only the large center muffler.
The original Porsche side mufflers remain installed and continue to provide sound attenuation when the factory exhaust valves command the quieter flow path.
This provides a useful balance between:
Increased exhaust volume
More aggressive flat-six character
Factory-style sound control
Daily-driving comfort
Track-oriented sound when desired
For owners who want noticeably more sound without replacing the entire exhaust system, this is one of the simplest modifications available for the 991 GT3 platform.
FACTORY EXHAUST VALVE FUNCTIONALITY:
Unlike a complete muffler-delete system, the Center Muffler Bypass retains the original Porsche side mufflers and exhaust valves.
The factory exhaust controls therefore continue operating normally.
With the quieter exhaust mode selected, the side mufflers continue reducing overall volume.
With the aggressive exhaust mode selected, the vehicle reveals substantially more of the Center Muffler Bypass's freer-flowing sound.
This preserves a meaningful difference between the quieter and louder operating modes.
VALVES CLOSED:
With the factory valves in their quieter operating state, the retained side mufflers continue providing sound attenuation.
Expect:
Relatively restrained cruising volume
Comfortable highway behavior
Reduced cabin presence
Deeper tone than stock
Retention of factory-style sound control
Greater daily-driving usability than a full muffler-delete exhaust
SOUL specifically developed the Center Muffler Bypass to increase sound without sacrificing normal street comfort.
VALVES OPEN:
With the factory exhaust valves open, substantially more of the naturally aspirated flat-six character becomes audible.
Expect:
Greater exhaust volume
Deeper low- and midrange tone
Stronger throttle-related sound
Sharper high-RPM character
Increased mechanical presence
More pronounced GT3 wail
Greater contrast between quiet and aggressive modes
At higher RPM, the system allows substantially more of the GT3 engine's natural exhaust note to reach the driver.
11-LB WEIGHT REDUCTION:
Replacing the factory center muffler removes approximately:
11 lbs
from the rear of the vehicle.
Reducing mass at the extreme rear of a 911 is particularly desirable because the engine and much of the vehicle's drivetrain mass are already concentrated behind the rear axle.
The Center Muffler Bypass therefore provides both an acoustic upgrade and a meaningful reduction in rear exhaust-system weight.
WITH FACTORY HEADERS:
When installed with the original Porsche exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters, the Center Muffler Bypass changes only the downstream center-muffler section.
The factory:
Headers
Catalytic converters
Oxygen sensors
Side mufflers
Exhaust valves
remain installed.
This makes the Center Muffler Bypass an attractive first exhaust modification for an otherwise stock GT3.
WITH UPGRADED HEADERS:
SOUL specifically designed the Center Muffler Bypass to work well with upgraded headers.
Combining higher-flow headers with the Center Muffler Bypass creates a substantially more aggressive configuration with:
Increased exhaust flow
Greater overall volume
More pronounced high-RPM sound
Stronger race-derived character
Continued use of the factory side mufflers and valves
The final volume will depend heavily on whether the headers retain catalytic converters.
SOUND CHARACTER:
With the Center Muffler Bypass installed, expect:
Deeper exhaust tone at idle and lower RPM
Greater flat-six presence around town
Stronger engine character under load
More audible transitions between exhaust-valve positions
Aggressive high-RPM sound
Exotic naturally aspirated wail approaching redline
Considerably greater volume when paired with aftermarket headers
The system is intended to provide substantially more character without forcing the owner into a permanently extreme exhaust configuration.
DIRECT BOLT-ON INSTALLATION:
The Center Muffler Bypass is designed as a straightforward replacement for the factory center muffler.
Installation requires:
Removal of the factory center muffler
Installation of the SOUL bypass assembly
Connection to the existing side mufflers
Installation and adjustment of the supplied clamps
There is:
No cutting
No welding
No ECU programming
No catalyst modification
No exhaust-valve deletion
SOUL describes the installation as suitable for experienced DIY enthusiasts.
MIKALOR HEAVY-DUTY CLAMPS:
SOUL supplies Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty W4 clamps with the exhaust.
These stainless-steel clamps use:
Projection-welded construction
Swinging bridge design
High-strength stainless-steel bolts
Captive nut and trunnion architecture
The design provides high clamping force and long-term durability in a high-temperature exhaust environment.
ACCUSEAL SIDE-MUFFLER CONNECTIONS:
SOUL also includes AccuSeal clamps for the connections between the Center Muffler Bypass and the factory side mufflers.
This allows the system to be installed and adjusted without permanent modification to the original Porsche exhaust components.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
The Center Muffler Bypass does not remove the factory catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.
SOUL reports that no check engine lights occurred during development or long-term road testing.
No ECU calibration is required simply to install the Center Muffler Bypass.
PERFORMANCE:
The Center Muffler Bypass reduces exhaust restriction compared with the factory center muffler and increases overall exhaust flow.
However, SOUL does not publish a verified standalone horsepower or torque figure for this product.
DasMotoring therefore does not advertise a numerical power increase.
The primary documented benefits are:
Increased exhaust sound
Reduced rear exhaust-system weight
Freer exhaust flow
Retained factory valve functionality
EXHAUST TIP OPTIONS:
The Center Muffler Bypass uses 4-inch single-wall exhaust tips.
Two styles are available:
4" Slash Cut Single Wall
An angled outlet providing a more aggressive appearance.
4" Straight Cut Single Wall
A traditional straight-cut circular outlet.
Each style is available in:
Signature Satin
Brushed
Satin Black
This creates six total configurations.
SIGNATURE SATIN:
The Signature Satin finish provides a clean metallic appearance that complements the factory GT-car styling.
Price: $1,675.00
BRUSHED:
The Brushed finish provides a more textured stainless-steel appearance while retaining a natural metallic look.
Price: $1,675.00
SATIN BLACK:
The Satin Black finish provides the darkest and most aggressive appearance of the three available tip finishes.
Price: $1,855.00
EMISSIONS NOTE:
When installed with the factory headers and catalytic converters, the SOUL Center Muffler Bypass does not remove the original emissions-control components.
If the exhaust is later combined with aftermarket headers or catalyst-delete components, the emissions configuration of the vehicle may change.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with applicable regulations for their complete vehicle configuration.
Product Description
The SOUL Center Muffler is designed for Porsche 991 and 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS owners who want a stronger, more durable replacement for the factory center muffler with the ability to choose either more exhaust volume or less exhaust volume than stock.
SOUL developed this system after observing failures of factory GT3 center mufflers, including vehicles that had not otherwise been heavily modified. For street and track-driven GT3s, repeated thermal cycling and sustained high exhaust temperatures can place considerable stress on the factory center muffler assembly.
Rather than simply duplicating the factory component, SOUL uses thicker-gauge stainless steel construction and offers two distinct internal sound configurations. The Louder Than OEM version increases naturally aspirated flat-six presence, while the Quieter Than OEM version is designed for owners who need additional sound control for tracks with restrictive noise limits.
The muffler installs directly in place of the factory center muffler without permanent vehicle modification and can be used with an otherwise stock exhaust system or as part of a more extensively modified GT3 exhaust configuration.

SOUND LEVEL OPTIONS:
SOUL offers two Center Muffler configurations to allow the exhaust system to be tailored around the vehicle's intended use.
Louder Than OEM
The Louder Than OEM configuration increases the presence of the naturally aspirated GT3 flat-six while retaining a true center muffler rather than replacing it with a straight-through bypass.
This is the appropriate configuration for owners who want additional exhaust character while maintaining a muffled exhaust system.
Expect greater exhaust presence throughout the rev range with additional emphasis on the GT3's high-RPM character.
SOUL Part Number: POR.GT3.MUFL
Quieter Than OEM
The Quieter Than OEM configuration is designed to reduce overall exhaust volume compared with the factory center muffler.
This version is particularly useful for GT3 owners who regularly attend tracks with strict sound restrictions or for vehicles with headers and other exhaust modifications that have already substantially increased overall volume.
SOUL Part Number: POR.GT3.MUFQ
WHY REPLACE THE FACTORY CENTER MUFFLER?
SOUL developed this product after observing center-muffler failures across both the 997 and 991 generations of the GT3.
Repeated high-temperature operation, aggressive driving, and track use subject the center muffler to significant thermal cycling and vibration. Modified headers and other performance exhaust components can further increase the demands placed on the downstream exhaust system.
The SOUL Center Muffler uses thicker-gauge stainless construction to provide a more robust replacement while retaining a conventional muffled exhaust configuration.
This makes it particularly attractive for GT3 owners who want additional durability without converting the car to a center-muffler bypass.
LOUDER VS. QUIETER:
Choose Louder Than OEM if:
You want more naturally aspirated GT3 exhaust sound
You want to retain a true center muffler
Your vehicle retains relatively quiet factory exhaust components
Track noise restrictions are not a major concern
You want additional high-RPM flat-six character without moving to a center bypass
Choose Quieter Than OEM if:
Your local tracks enforce strict sound limits
Your headers or other exhaust modifications have already increased volume substantially
You want additional sound attenuation
You want a durable replacement without increasing overall exhaust volume
CENTER MUFFLER VS. CENTER MUFFLER BYPASS:
The SOUL Center Muffler retains dedicated sound attenuation and is available in either louder-than-stock or quieter-than-stock configurations.
A center muffler bypass removes the center muffler's sound attenuation entirely for a more aggressive exhaust configuration and greater weight reduction.
For owners prioritizing maximum exhaust sound and minimum restriction, a center bypass provides the more aggressive solution.
For owners prioritizing durability, controlled sound levels, street usability, or track noise compliance, the SOUL Center Muffler provides the more appropriate solution.
EXHAUST TIP OPTIONS:
There are no exhaust-tip variants associated with this product.
The SOUL Center Muffler is a replacement center muffler assembly and retains the vehicle's existing downstream exhaust-tip configuration.
No exhaust-tip selection is required when ordering.
