Product Description
The SOUL X-Pipe Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 992.1 Carrera owners looking for a substantial increase in exhaust sound and turbocharger character while retaining the factory catalytic converter sections.
Unlike a valved rear exhaust, the SOUL X-Pipe uses a single, unrestricted exhaust path to extract as much sound as possible from the existing catalyst configuration. The system replaces the factory rear muffler assembly while retaining all OEM connection points, making it a modular upgrade that can be installed with the factory catalytic converters or combined later with compatible aftermarket catalyst sections.
SOUL developed the system from the architecture of its 992 Performance Exhaust System, adapting it to work directly with the factory exhaust connections. The resulting resonated X-pipe produces a smooth, rich, higher-pitched flat-six sound with substantially more character throughout the rev range while limiting unwanted cabin drone.
For owners who want more sound without purchasing a complete turbo-back exhaust system, the SOUL X-Pipe provides a cost-effective and highly modular solution.

NON-VALVED X-PIPE DESIGN:
The SOUL X-Pipe uses a fixed exhaust path rather than electronically controlled exhaust valves.
A conventional valved exhaust must incorporate both a louder primary path and a quieter secondary path. Even with the valves open, some exhaust energy can continue interacting with the secondary muffled section.
The SOUL X-Pipe eliminates that secondary flow path entirely.
This allows the system to extract more sound from the engine and turbochargers, particularly higher in the rev range, while keeping the design mechanically simple.
For owners who do not need switchable exhaust volume, the X-Pipe provides a more direct and cost-conscious approach to increasing 992.1 Carrera sound.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The SOUL X-Pipe is designed to provide a noticeable increase in sound throughout the rev range without becoming unnecessarily harsh.
Expect:
Greater flat-six exhaust presence
Increased turbocharger spool and whistle
More mechanical character under acceleration
A smoother and richer exhaust note
Higher-pitched character as engine speed increases
Greater sound at the top of the rev range
More exhaust feedback during spirited driving
Limited unwanted cabin drone
With the factory catalytic converters retained, the system provides a sporty but relatively controlled exhaust character.
Installing higher-flow catalytic converters or cat bypass pipes will substantially increase overall sound and turbocharger presence.
RESONATED X-PIPE:
The X-Pipe is not simply a pair of straight pipes replacing the factory muffler.
SOUL incorporates dedicated resonators and carefully developed crossover geometry to smooth the exhaust note and control unwanted frequencies.
The resonated architecture helps produce a more refined, higher-pitched sound while limiting the drone that can occur when reducing exhaust restriction on the 992 platform.
This allows the system to remain enjoyable during normal street driving while providing substantially more sound during aggressive acceleration.
MODULAR EXHAUST DESIGN:
A major advantage of the SOUL X-Pipe is its modular construction.
It can initially be installed while retaining the factory catalytic converters and later combined with upgraded catalyst sections without replacing the rear exhaust again.
Factory Catalytic Converters + SOUL X-Pipe
Provides a substantial increase in exhaust character while retaining the original catalyst assemblies.
SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters + SOUL X-Pipe
Provides additional exhaust flow, turbocharger sound, response, and overall exhaust volume while retaining catalytic converters.
SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes + SOUL X-Pipe
Creates a significantly more aggressive catless configuration intended for appropriate competition applications.
This makes the X-Pipe particularly useful for customers who intend to upgrade their vehicle progressively over time.
VALVE SIMULATOR BRACKETS:
The factory 992.1 Carrera uses electronically controlled exhaust-valve actuators.
When the factory valved rear exhaust is removed, the electronic actuators cannot simply be unplugged without potentially creating diagnostic faults or limp-mode behavior.
SOUL includes dedicated Valve Simulator Brackets with the X-Pipe Exhaust System.
These brackets provide the factory electronic actuators with the mechanical limits they expect to see during normal operation, allowing the vehicle electronics to continue recognizing proper actuator movement even though the aftermarket exhaust itself no longer contains valves.
X-PIPE VS. VALVED EXHAUST:
The SOUL X-Pipe Exhaust System is a fixed, non-valved system designed to maximize sound and simplify the rear exhaust architecture.
The SOUL Valved Exhaust System provides a quieter secondary exhaust path for owners who want greater control over exhaust volume.
X-Pipe Exhaust
Non-valved
Maximum sound from the rear exhaust section
Simpler architecture
Lower purchase price
Resonated for smoother tone and limited drone
Factory or upgraded catalyst sections can be retained
Valved Exhaust
Electronically controlled exhaust valves
Quieter cruising capability
Greater range between quiet and aggressive operation
Better suited to owners prioritizing daily-driving refinement
WITH FACTORY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
The X-Pipe is specifically designed to work with the factory catalytic converter sections.
This configuration provides:
Increased exhaust volume
Greater turbocharger sound
Stronger flat-six character
Improved high-RPM sound
Retention of the factory emissions hardware
For many owners, this configuration provides a substantial improvement in sound without requiring additional exhaust modifications.
GPF / MARKET COMPATIBILITY:
This product is intended for North American-market 992.1 Carrera vehicles without Gasoline Particulate Filters / GPF.
European and other GPF-equipped vehicles use different emissions and exhaust hardware and should not be ordered through this listing without confirming compatibility.
Product Description
The SOUL Valved Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 992.1 Carrera owners looking for a substantial increase in exhaust sound while retaining the refinement and flexibility expected from a modern 911.
The factory 992.1 uses electronically controlled exhaust valves that can open and close progressively based on engine load, RPM, drive mode, and other operating conditions. SOUL developed its Valved Exhaust System specifically around this variable valve behavior, creating a smooth transition between quiet and aggressive operation rather than treating the valves as simple on/off devices.
With the valves open, exhaust flows through a full 3-inch primary path and X-pipe, producing significantly greater flat-six character, turbocharger sound, and overall volume.
As the valves close, exhaust is progressively routed through SOUL's bespoke X-pipe muffler, which uses straight-through perforated tubing, acoustic packing, and an internal crossover to reduce unwanted resonance while maintaining a smooth and sporty exhaust note.
The result is a valved exhaust that delivers substantially more character than the factory system without sacrificing highway refinement or introducing excessive drone.

ELECTRONIC VALVE OPERATION:
Unlike earlier Porsche exhaust systems that commonly used vacuum-operated valves with relatively simple open or closed positions, the 992.1 Carrera uses electronically controlled exhaust valves.
The factory ECU can progressively alter valve position depending on:
Engine load
RPM
Drive mode
Throttle position
Other vehicle operating conditions
Even during full-throttle operation in Sport mode, the valves may not remain completely open at all times.
SOUL developed the Valved Exhaust System specifically around this behavior so changes in valve position produce a smooth change in exhaust volume and tone rather than an abrupt transition.
VALVES OPEN:
With the valves open, exhaust is allowed to flow through the system's 3-inch primary piping and X-pipe.
This provides:
Significantly greater overall exhaust volume
Increased turbocharger presence
Stronger flat-six character
More aggressive tone under acceleration
Higher-pitched character as RPM increases
Greater mechanical feedback
More pronounced exhaust character during spirited driving
Even in the open-valve configuration, the secondary exhaust path remains acoustically connected to the muffler section, helping create a fuller and more robust sound.
VALVES CLOSED:
As the exhaust valves close, more of the exhaust flow is routed through SOUL's bespoke X-pipe muffler.
The muffler uses straight-through perforated tubing rather than forcing exhaust gases through a highly restrictive chambered design.
Exhaust sound energy passes through the perforations and is absorbed by the surrounding acoustic packing while the internal X-pipe allows the two cylinder banks to communicate.
The result is:
Reduced exterior volume
Smoother exhaust tone
Reduced cabin resonance
Better highway comfort
Retention of sporty flat-six character
Greater refinement during normal street driving
X-PIPE MUFFLER DESIGN:
SOUL developed a unique muffler specifically to control the 992.1 Carrera's common cruising resonance.
The platform naturally develops noticeable drone in approximately the 2,000–2,400 RPM range, particularly as exhaust flow and volume increase.
SOUL addresses this using three primary features:
Straight-through perforated exhaust tubing
Sound-absorbing muffler packing
An internal X-pipe crossover
The straight-through architecture helps maintain exhaust flow, while the surrounding muffler packing absorbs unwanted frequencies.
The internal X-pipe blends exhaust pulses between the two cylinder banks, smoothing the tone and helping produce the higher-pitched character SOUL targeted during development.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The Valved Exhaust System is designed for owners who want substantially more sound without committing to an aggressive exhaust note at all times.
Expect:
Increased flat-six character
More turbocharger sound
Greater bass at lower RPM
Stronger exhaust presence under acceleration
Higher-pitched wail as engine speed increases
Increased mechanical feedback
Smooth transition between quieter and louder operation
Reduced drone during highway cruising
The final sound level will depend heavily on the catalyst configuration.
A vehicle retaining the factory catalytic converters will remain more restrained than one equipped with SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters or Cat Bypass Pipes.
WITH FACTORY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
The SOUL Valved Exhaust can be installed while retaining the factory catalyst sections.
This configuration provides a substantial improvement in tone and volume while preserving the greatest degree of overall refinement.
For owners who want a noticeable exhaust upgrade without replacing the catalytic converters, the Valved Exhaust System can be installed as a standalone modification.
WITH SOUL SPORT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
Combining the Valved Exhaust with SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters creates a significantly more aggressive complete exhaust system.
Expect:
Increased turbocharger spool and whistle
Greater overall exhaust volume
Improved exhaust flow
Stronger engine character
More pronounced sound with the valves open
Continued ability to reduce volume through the valved muffler configuration
This combination forms the basis of SOUL's 992.1 Carrera Street Package.
WITH CAT BYPASS PIPES:
Combining the Valved Exhaust with cat bypass pipes produces a considerably more aggressive configuration.
Removing the catalytic converters dramatically increases turbocharger and exhaust sound while also reducing restriction.
The valved rear exhaust still provides meaningful volume control, but customers should expect a substantially louder vehicle overall compared with the factory-catalyst or Sport Cat configurations.
PSE / NON-PSE COMPATIBILITY:
The SOUL Valved Exhaust can be used on applicable vehicles originally equipped with either:
Standard exhaust
Factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE)
SOUL includes the required valve adapters and installation hardware with the system.
Because the SOUL system incorporates its own valved exhaust architecture, customers do not need separate PSE and non-PSE exhaust variants when ordering.
EXHAUST TIPS:
The SOUL Valved Exhaust System retains the vehicle's compatible existing rear exhaust-tip arrangement.
There are no separate exhaust-tip selections associated with this product.
No tip variant is required when ordering.
GPF / MARKET COMPATIBILITY:
This product is intended for North American-market 992.1 Carrera vehicles without Gasoline Particulate Filters / GPF.
European and other GPF-equipped vehicles use different exhaust and emissions hardware and should not be ordered through this listing without confirming compatibility.
Product Description
The SOUL Performance Exhaust System is designed for Porsche 992.1 Carrera owners looking for maximum exhaust flow, substantially increased sound, stronger turbocharger presence, and an aggressive performance-oriented character without the complexity of a valved rear exhaust.
Unlike SOUL's Valved Exhaust System, the Performance Exhaust uses a single, unrestricted exhaust path built around full 3-inch tubing from the catalyst sections through the proprietary X-pipe. This eliminates the smaller secondary flow path required by a valved system and allows SOUL to maximize exhaust flow and sound.
Two configurations are available. The Street Performance Exhaust incorporates SOUL's current-production high-flow catalytic converters for customers who want a catted system, while the Competition Performance Exhaust completely eliminates the catalytic converters for maximum flow, weight reduction, turbocharger sound, and exhaust volume.
SOUL's proprietary cast X-pipe maintains the full 3-inch internal diameter through the crossover while blending exhaust flow from both cylinder banks. Two straight-through resonators and tuned Helmholtz anti-drone chambers help smooth the tone and reduce unwanted cabin resonance while preserving the aggressive character expected from a performance-focused system.

NON-VALVED PERFORMANCE DESIGN:
The SOUL Performance Exhaust is designed around a single, high-flow exhaust path rather than a quieter secondary path controlled by valves.
This allows SOUL to use full 3-inch tubing throughout the system, maximizing available flow and allowing considerably more sound to reach the driver.
The result is substantially more aggressive than the factory exhaust and remains aggressive at all times.
This system is best suited to owners who prioritize:
Maximum exhaust character
Increased turbocharger sound
Maximum available exhaust flow
Reduced restriction
Performance-oriented driving
A consistent exhaust note without valve intervention
Owners looking for a significantly quieter cruising mode should consider the SOUL Valved Exhaust System instead.
3-INCH X-PIPE DESIGN:
The factory 992.1 Carrera exhaust uses tubing limited to approximately 2.75 inches.
SOUL's Performance Exhaust increases the system to a full 3-inch flow path, beginning with purpose-built catalyst or cat-bypass sections and continuing into the X-pipe assembly.
Rather than constructing the crossover from intersecting bent tubes that reduce the effective internal diameter, SOUL uses a cast X-pipe designed to maintain the full 3-inch cross-section.
The crossover is also elongated to blend exhaust flow progressively between the two cylinder banks.
This creates a smoother exhaust path while contributing to the higher-pitched, more exotic tone of the complete system.
RESONATORS & DRONE CONTROL:
SOUL initially tested four straight-through resonators during development but found that the 992 platform's relatively insulated cabin allowed additional sound without becoming excessively intrusive.
The production Performance Exhaust therefore uses two resonators, increasing overall exhaust volume while retaining enough sound control to refine the tone.
The 992 platform also exhibits a natural drone range around approximately 2,000–2,400 RPM, particularly as exhaust restriction is reduced.
SOUL developed dedicated Helmholtz anti-drone chambers to target these frequencies. The tuned chambers are looped together for a symmetrical layout while remaining internally separated so each chamber retains its acoustic function.
Drone is reduced rather than completely eliminated, which is important for customers considering this system for extensive highway use.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The Performance Exhaust is intentionally aggressive.
Expect:
A substantially louder exhaust note than stock
A fuller and smoother flat-six tone
Higher-pitched character as RPM increases
Significantly more turbocharger sound
Greater mechanical feedback
A strong ripping growl under acceleration
Increased burbles during deceleration in Sport mode
More cabin presence throughout the rev range
Some remaining resonance around the 2,000–2,400 RPM range
The Competition / Catless configuration provides the most dramatic sound, adding significantly more turbocharger whistle and induction-like character.
The Street / High-Flow Catted configuration retains catalysts and provides a somewhat more restrained exhaust note while remaining substantially more aggressive than stock.
STREET PERFORMANCE EXHAUST:
The Street configuration combines the full 3-inch Performance Exhaust architecture with SOUL's current-production high-flow catalytic converters.
This provides:
Full 3-inch exhaust flow
High-flow catalytic converters
Increased turbocharger sound
Stronger flat-six character
Reduced restriction compared with the factory exhaust
More aggressive sound while retaining a catted configuration
Current-production catalyst technology developed to avoid catalyst-related check engine lights under normal North American operation
Earlier versions of SOUL's 992 Sport Catalytic Converters used HJS catalyst cores. Current-production systems use an updated performance catalyst that SOUL has extensively tested for sound, performance, and diagnostic compatibility.
COMPETITION PERFORMANCE EXHAUST:
The Competition configuration completely eliminates the catalytic converters.
This provides:
Maximum exhaust flow
Maximum turbocharger sound
Greatest exhaust volume
Maximum available weight reduction
Most aggressive flat-six character
Lowest exhaust restriction
The complete catless system weighs approximately 36.45 lbs, compared with approximately 42.95 lbs for the factory components.
Approximate Competition-system weight savings: 6.5 lbs / 2.9 kg
Because the catalytic converters are removed, catalyst-related diagnostic trouble codes are possible and the system is intended for appropriate competition applications.
VALVE SIMULATOR BRACKETS:
The factory 992.1 Carrera uses electronically actuated exhaust valves.
These actuators cannot simply be unplugged when converting to a non-valved exhaust system. Doing so can place the vehicle into limp mode.
The electronic actuators also cannot simply be removed from their original mechanical valves and left electrically connected.
SOUL includes dedicated valve simulator brackets that provide the factory electronic actuators with the appropriate mechanical start and stop positions, allowing the vehicle to recognize normal actuator movement even though the exhaust itself no longer contains valves.
The brackets are included with the Performance Exhaust System and are designed to prevent valve-related check engine lights or limp-mode operation.
STREET VS. COMPETITION:
Street – High-Flow Catalytic Converters
Retains catalytic converters
Full 3-inch flow path
Aggressive non-valved exhaust
Increased turbocharger sound
More street-oriented of the two configurations
Current-production catalysts designed around no-CEL operation under normal North American conditions
Competition – No Catalytic Converters
Completely catless
Full 3-inch flow path
Maximum exhaust flow
Maximum exhaust and turbocharger sound
Approximately 6.5 lbs lighter than the factory exhaust components
Catalyst-related fault codes are possible
Competition-focused configuration
PERFORMANCE EXHAUST VS. VALVED EXHAUST:
The Performance Exhaust System is designed around maximum flow and sound using one unrestricted exhaust path.
The Valved Exhaust System provides greater flexibility by giving the driver a significantly quieter secondary exhaust path when the valves close.
Performance Exhaust
Non-valved
Full 3-inch primary flow path
More aggressive at all times
Maximum flow potential
Tuned resonators and Helmholtz chambers reduce—but do not eliminate—drone

GPF / MARKET COMPATIBILITY:
The Performance Exhaust System is intended for North American-market 992.1 Carrera vehicles without Gasoline Particulate Filters / GPF.
Vehicles outside North America may use different factory particulate-filter and emissions hardware.
Customers with European or other GPF-equipped vehicles should confirm compatibility before ordering.
EMISSIONS / USE NOTE:
The Street configuration replaces the factory catalytic converters with aftermarket high-flow catalytic converters.
The Competition configuration completely removes the catalytic converters.
Neither configuration is CARB certified, and legality varies by jurisdiction.
The Competition configuration is intended for closed-course competition use only where required, and United States customers purchasing the catless system may be required to complete SOUL's Catless Exhaust Component Waiver.
Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Product Description
The SOUL Sport Headers are designed for Porsche 992 owners looking to improve exhaust flow, turbocharger response, throttle response, power potential, and sound without compromising ground clearance or removing any catalytic converters.
SOUL replaces the basic factory header architecture with equal-length 1.75-inch primary runners feeding optimized 3-into-1 merge collectors. This improves exhaust-gas velocity as the individual cylinder runners converge and creates a smoother, less restrictive path into the turbochargers.

3-INTO-1 MERGE COLLECTOR DESIGN:
The factory 992 header architecture uses a relatively basic exhaust path into the turbochargers and does not incorporate the same type of optimized merge collector used by SOUL.
SOUL combines three equal-length 1.75-inch primary runners into a dedicated 3-into-1 collector.
The collector geometry is designed to bring the individual exhaust streams together smoothly while maintaining exhaust-gas velocity as they approach the turbocharger.
This improves the flow path upstream of the turbine and helps the turbochargers respond more quickly to changes in throttle position.
EQUAL-LENGTH PRIMARY RUNNERS:
SOUL uses equal-length primary runners rather than allowing significantly different exhaust-path lengths between cylinders.
Equalizing runner length helps create a more consistent exhaust path into the merge collector and improves the way individual exhaust pulses reach the turbocharger.
The goal is not simply to install larger tubing, but to improve the overall geometry between the exhaust ports and turbine inlet.
INCREASED TURBO INLET FLOW:
The factory 992 headers use different outlet sizes from side to side, measuring approximately:
1.4 inches ID
and
1.8 inches ID
SOUL increases both header outlets to approximately:
2.25 inches ID
This substantially increases available exhaust-flow area entering the turbocharger assemblies and provides additional capacity for modified and higher-output engines.
TURBO RESPONSE:
Improving exhaust flow before the turbine can have a direct effect on turbocharger response.
SOUL's equal-length runners, optimized collector geometry, and larger outlets are designed to move exhaust energy into the turbine more efficiently.
The result is quicker response when the accelerator is applied and a broader range of usable power before the transmission needs to downshift.
This makes the headers relevant not only to high-horsepower builds, but also to otherwise lightly modified cars where improved response is a priority.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The SOUL Sport Headers also increase the mechanical and turbocharged character of the 992 exhaust system.
Expect:
Greater turbocharger presence
Increased mechanical exhaust character
Sharper response to throttle inputs
Stronger engine tone under load
More audible exhaust character when combined with freer-flowing catalytic converters or rear exhaust components
The final sound level depends heavily on the rest of the exhaust configuration.
A car retaining its factory catalytic converters and rear exhaust will remain considerably more restrained than one using SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters, Cat Bypass Pipes, or an aftermarket rear exhaust.
CATALYTIC CONVERTERS / CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
The factory catalytic converters are not located within the header assemblies.
Installing the SOUL Sport Headers therefore does not remove or modify the vehicle's catalytic converters.
Because the factory emissions components and catalyst-monitoring arrangement remain intact, SOUL states that no check engine light is expected from installation of the headers themselves.
This also means the headers can be combined with the factory catalyst sections or with compatible aftermarket catalyst upgrades depending on the desired exhaust configuration.
992.1 CARRERA + SPORT HEADERS:
For a 992.1 Carrera, the Sport Headers can be installed as a standalone upgrade while retaining the remainder of the factory exhaust system.
They can also be combined with:
SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters
SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes for appropriate competition applications
SOUL Valved Exhaust components
SOUL Street Package components
This allows owners to progressively upgrade the exhaust system rather than replacing the entire turbo-back system at once.
TURBO / SPORT CLASSIC / DAKAR COMPATIBILITY:
A useful feature of the SOUL Sport Header design is its unusually broad 992-platform compatibility.
The same header assemblies are also compatible with applicable:
992 Turbo
992 Turbo S
992 Sport Classic
992 Dakar
This makes the SOUL Sport Headers one of the shared performance components across multiple turbocharged 992 variants.
992.2 FITMENT:
SOUL also specifies compatibility with applicable 992.2 Carrera models.
The important exception is the 992.2 Carrera GTS, which uses Porsche's newer T-Hybrid powertrain architecture and is specifically excluded from this product.
Customers with a 992.2 vehicle should confirm the exact model before ordering.
Product Description
The SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes are designed for Porsche 992.1 Carrera owners seeking maximum exhaust flow, substantially increased turbocharger sound, sharper throttle response, and a much more aggressive flat-six exhaust character.
The factory catalytic-converter assemblies are replaced with unrestricted stainless steel bypass pipes, removing one of the most significant restrictions immediately downstream of the turbochargers. The freer exhaust path allows considerably more turbocharger spool, whistle, engine note, and exhaust crackle to come through while improving turbo response and overall drivability.
SOUL constructs each Cat Bypass Pipe from mandrel-bent 2.5-inch-diameter, .065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel tubing with CNC-cut flanges, laser-cut mounting brackets, and back-purged welds for durability under high-temperature street and track use.
For performance-focused 992.1 Carrera builds, the Cat Bypass Pipes provide SOUL's least restrictive catalyst-section configuration.

CATLESS DESIGN:
The factory catalytic converters create significant restriction immediately after the turbochargers.
SOUL replaces these assemblies with free-flowing stainless steel bypass pipes, removing the catalyst cores entirely and providing a much less restrictive path for exhaust gases leaving the turbines.
Reducing post-turbine restriction can improve turbocharger response and allows considerably more of the turbochargers' natural sound to pass through the exhaust system.
The result is a noticeably more responsive and engaging 992.1 Carrera with substantially more turbo and engine character.
SOUND CHARACTER:
Removing the factory catalytic converters produces one of the most dramatic sound changes available for the 992.1 Carrera.
Expect:
Significantly increased turbocharger spool sound
More audible turbo whistle
Stronger flat-six exhaust presence
Greater mechanical character under acceleration
More pronounced crackles during deceleration
Increased overall exhaust volume
A much more aggressive character when combined with an aftermarket rear exhaust
The final sound level depends heavily on the rest of the exhaust system.
With the factory rear exhaust retained, the Cat Bypass Pipes provide a substantial increase in turbo and engine sound while retaining some of the factory system's sound attenuation.
Combined with a SOUL X-Pipe or Valved Exhaust System, the result becomes considerably more aggressive.
POWER / DYNO DEVELOPMENT:
SOUL tested the Cat Bypass Pipes with CBTuning using a Dyno Dynamics dynamometer.
Testing compared the factory configuration with a vehicle equipped with SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes and an upgraded CBTuning ECU calibration.
SOUL reports gains of more than 100 wheel horsepower and 215 lb-ft of torque through portions of the powerband when the Cat Bypass Pipes were paired with the upgraded ECU tune.
These figures represent the combined effect of the freer-flowing Cat Bypass Pipes and ECU calibration and should not be interpreted as an exhaust-only horsepower gain.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
Because the SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes completely remove the factory catalytic converters, installation may trigger catalyst-efficiency-related diagnostic trouble codes and a check engine light.
SOUL recommends an appropriate custom ECU calibration for track-use vehicles when catalyst-related diagnostic functions need to be addressed.
Customers should assume that catalyst-related fault codes are possible when installing this product.
NORTH AMERICAN VS. EUROPEAN VEHICLES:
North American Vehicles
The Cat Bypass Pipes are designed for North American-market 992.1 Carrera vehicles without Gasoline Particulate Filters.
Because the catalytic converters are removed, catalyst-related fault codes remain possible.
European / GPF-Spec Vehicles
SOUL states that the Cat Bypass Pipes also physically fit European-specification models.
These vehicles must be paired with an appropriate ECU calibration to address resulting check engine lights and the changes to the factory emissions hardware.
Customers with non-North-American vehicles should confirm their exact exhaust configuration before ordering.
FACTORY PSE / NON-PSE COMPATIBILITY:
The SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes replace components upstream of the rear muffler and exhaust-valve system.
They are compatible with both:
Standard / non-PSE rear exhaust systems
Factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) systems
Installing the Cat Bypass Pipes does not remove the factory rear exhaust valves or prevent normal PSE operation.
CAT BYPASS VS. SPORT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
The SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes completely eliminate the factory catalysts for maximum flow and the most aggressive sound.
The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters replace the restrictive factory catalysts with high-flow performance catalysts while retaining a catted configuration.

Completely catless
Maximum exhaust flow
Maximum turbocharger sound
Stronger exhaust character
Improved turbo response
Catalyst-related fault codes are possible

EMISSIONS / COMPETITION USE NOTE:
The SOUL Cat Bypass Pipes completely remove the factory catalytic converters.
This product is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles.
The product is intended for off-road / competition use only where required due to removal of the factory catalytic converters.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations before installation or use.
Product Description
The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters are designed for Porsche 992.1 Carrera owners looking for one of the most impactful hardware upgrades available for the 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six.
The factory 992.1 catalytic converters use highly restrictive 700-cell catalyst cores that significantly reduce turbocharger and exhaust sound. SOUL replaces these assemblies with substantially freer-flowing performance catalytic converters, allowing the turbochargers to breathe more efficiently while retaining a catted exhaust configuration.
The increased exhaust flow provides noticeably greater turbocharger sound, a deeper and throatier engine note, improved turbo response, and stronger drivability. Unlike a complete rear exhaust replacement, the Sport Catalytic Converters target one of the most restrictive sections of the factory turbo-back exhaust system while retaining the vehicle's existing muffler and valve configuration.
Current-production SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters use an updated performance catalyst that SOUL has extensively tested to meet its sound and performance targets without triggering a check engine light on North American vehicles under normal operating conditions.

WHY UPGRADE THE FACTORY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS?
The factory catalytic converters are one of the most restrictive components in the 992.1 Carrera exhaust system.
Porsche's original 700-cell catalyst cores provide effective emissions control and sound attenuation, but they also restrict exhaust flow immediately downstream of the turbochargers.
Replacing them with SOUL's freer-flowing performance catalysts allows exhaust gases to leave the turbochargers more efficiently.
The result is:
Greater turbocharger sound
Faster and more immediate turbo response
Stronger engine character
Increased exhaust volume under load
Improved drivability
Retention of a catted exhaust configuration
For owners who want more character from the 992.1 without immediately replacing the entire exhaust system, the Sport Catalytic Converters provide a targeted upgrade to one of the most restrictive factory components.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The Sport Catalytic Converters significantly increase the amount of turbocharger and flat-six sound that passes through the exhaust system.
Expect:
More audible turbo spool
More turbocharger whistle
A deeper exhaust tone
Greater flat-six character under acceleration
More pronounced pops and burbles depending on driving mode and ECU calibration
Increased exhaust volume at higher engine loads
With the factory rear exhaust retained, the overall increase remains relatively refined.
Pairing the Sport Catalytic Converters with a SOUL rear exhaust system produces a substantially more aggressive complete exhaust configuration.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT:
Current-production SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters use an updated performance catalyst that SOUL has extensively tested on the 992.1 platform.
SOUL states that these current-production units are designed to provide the desired performance and sound improvements without triggering a catalyst-related check engine light on North American vehicles under normal operating conditions.
Vehicle condition, oxygen-sensor condition, ECU software, fuel quality, and other modifications can still affect diagnostic behavior.
IMPORTANT PREVIOUS-GENERATION CATALYST NOTE:
Earlier SOUL 992.1 Sport Catalytic Converters used HJS catalyst cores.
SOUL notes that some 2021 and newer 992 models equipped with those previous-generation HJS Sport Catalytic Converters may trigger a check engine light.
Current-production units use a different performance catalyst that SOUL has extensively tested to address this issue.
The current DasMotoring listing is for current-production SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters.
NORTH AMERICAN VS. EUROPEAN VEHICLES:
North American Vehicles
The Sport Catalytic Converters are specifically designed for North American-market 992.1 Carrera models without Gasoline Particulate Filters.
Current-production units are designed to operate without catalyst-related check engine lights under normal conditions.
European / GPF-Spec Vehicles
SOUL states that the Sport Catalytic Converters can also be installed on European-specification vehicles.
However, these applications require an appropriate ECU calibration to eliminate resulting diagnostic fault codes.
Owners of non-North-American vehicles should confirm their vehicle's emissions hardware before ordering.
FACTORY PSE / NON-PSE COMPATIBILITY:
The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters are installed upstream of the rear exhaust system.
They are therefore compatible with both:
Factory standard / non-PSE exhaust systems
Factory Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) systems
Installing the Sport Catalytic Converters does not remove the factory exhaust valves or prevent normal PSE operation.
SPORT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS + REAR EXHAUST:
The Sport Catalytic Converters can be installed as a standalone upgrade or combined with additional SOUL exhaust components.
Sport Catalytic Converters + Factory Exhaust
Provides greater turbocharger sound, a deeper exhaust tone, and improved response while retaining the majority of the factory exhaust system.
Sport Catalytic Converters + SOUL Valved Exhaust
Creates a significantly more aggressive complete exhaust configuration while retaining meaningful control over exhaust volume.
Sport Catalytic Converters + SOUL Street Package
The Sport Catalytic Converters are one of the primary components included in SOUL's complete 992.1 Carrera Street Package.
EMISSIONS NOTE:
The SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters replace the original factory catalytic converters with aftermarket high-flow catalysts.
Retaining catalytic converters does not necessarily make an aftermarket emissions component legal for use on public roads in every jurisdiction.
The system is not CARB certified.
Customers are responsible for determining compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations before installation or use.
Product Description
The SOUL Street Package is a complete turbo-back exhaust solution for the Porsche 992.1 Carrera platform, combining a Valved Exhaust System, proprietary X-Pipe, and high-flow Sport Catalytic Converters into one matched package.
The factory 992.1 Carrera delivers exceptional performance but leaves much of the 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six's character hidden behind a restrictive and heavily muffled exhaust system. SOUL developed the Street Package to substantially increase exhaust and turbocharger sound while preserving the refinement necessary for daily driving.
With the exhaust valves open, the system provides a much freer exhaust path and an aggressive, race-inspired flat-six tone. With the valves closed, exhaust is routed through SOUL's bespoke X-pipe muffler for a smoother, quieter character appropriate for highway driving, neighborhoods, and longer trips.
The high-flow Sport Catalytic Converters reduce one of the major restrictions in the factory turbo-back exhaust system, improving exhaust flow and turbocharger response while adding substantially more turbo sound. SOUL reports approximately 20 horsepower over stock from the freer-flowing Street Package configuration.
The result is a complete exhaust package designed to deliver more sound, character, response, and performance without sacrificing the everyday usability of the 992.1 Carrera.

VALVED EXHAUST OPERATION:
The SOUL Street Package combines increased performance with meaningful control over exhaust volume.
Valves Open
With the valves open, exhaust follows the freer-flowing primary path through the X-pipe.
This provides:
Significantly greater exhaust volume
Increased turbocharger sound
Stronger flat-six character
More aggressive high-RPM tone
Greater pops and burbles depending on driving mode and vehicle calibration
A more direct connection between throttle input and exhaust sound
Valves Closed
Closing the valves directs more exhaust through SOUL's bespoke X-pipe muffler.
The muffler uses a low-restriction internal flow path with sound-absorbing construction to reduce exterior volume and smooth unwanted frequencies.
This provides a more refined character for:
Highway cruising
Longer trips
Residential areas
Cold starts and lower-volume situations
Everyday street driving
X-PIPE MUFFLER DESIGN:
SOUL developed a bespoke muffler specifically around the electronically controlled exhaust-valve behavior of the 992.1 Carrera.
Rather than simply forcing exhaust through a conventional restrictive muffler, the internal architecture incorporates straight-through perforated tubing and an internal X-pipe.
The design allows the exhaust streams from the two banks to communicate while surrounding muffler packing absorbs unwanted frequencies.
This helps smooth the exhaust note and reduce the common 2,000–2,400 RPM drone range while preserving a higher-pitched, more exotic flat-six character.
When the valves open, exhaust can flow through the larger primary X-pipe path while still communicating with the secondary muffled path, helping produce a fuller and more robust tone.
SPORT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS:
The factory 992.1 Carrera uses highly restrictive catalytic converters that significantly attenuate turbocharger and exhaust sound.
The SOUL Street Package replaces these components with high-flow Sport Catalytic Converters designed to reduce restriction while retaining catalytic converters.
The freer-flowing catalyst sections provide:
Increased turbocharger sound
Improved turbo response
Stronger exhaust character
Improved drivability
Additional performance potential
Retention of a catted exhaust configuration
Current-production SOUL catalyst sections use an updated performance catalyst developed and tested to provide the desired sound and flow characteristics without the check-engine-light concerns associated with some earlier-generation catalyst configurations.
POWER:
SOUL reports approximately 20 horsepower over stock from the Street Package's freer-flowing exhaust configuration.
The primary power improvement comes from reducing restriction through the Sport Catalytic Converters and allowing the turbocharged engine to move exhaust gases more efficiently.
Unlike SOUL's more extensive Performance Package, the Street Package does not rely on ECU or PDK tuning to achieve its advertised configuration.
The Street Package is therefore primarily a hardware upgrade focused on exhaust flow, sound, turbo response, and moderate power improvement.
SOUND CHARACTER:
The Street Package is designed around a balance between aggression and refinement.
Expect:
Significantly greater turbocharger spool sound
Deeper and stronger flat-six character
More exhaust presence throughout the rev range
Higher-pitched character as engine speed increases
Increased pops and burbles depending on driving mode
Dramatically greater volume with the valves open
Refined cruising with the valves closed
Reduced unwanted cabin drone
The ability to switch between aggressive and refined operation makes the Street Package particularly well suited to cars that see both daily street use and spirited driving.
STREET PACKAGE VS. PERFORMANCE EXHAUST:
The SOUL Street Package prioritizes sound control and street usability while still providing meaningful improvements in exhaust flow and performance.
Street Package
Valved Exhaust System
High-flow Sport Catalytic Converters
